I bought the HD 3500 right after I took my vehicle in and was charged $175 for the shop to do a scan. It did not even go towards the work being done it was a separate charge. So I bought this scanner. After using it three times I basically had a free tool. It has a lot of professional functions that you don’t find in a cheaper unit. You can also email the report of what transpired during your analysis or you can buy the separate printing unit and print it right off of the unit. I like the live data where it shows what is happening with my systems. When you buy it, you need to hook it up to a Wi-Fi and download the upgrades for it to work properly. It had been working great and then I had an issue. I contacted their support line and it took us a little bit of time but we finally got the issue resolved. It is a great product and I’m not sure about the People that are saying that the support staff is inadequate, it may be your attitude and your expectations. You bought it, if there’s an issue it’s up to you to get it resolved, that is not just sending one email or one phone call and expecting the issue to be resolved. They responded to me by email every day until we got the issue resolved. It’s a great product and They got my issue resolved, and I would buy the product again as well as other products they sell. I think a lot of frustration with people is the original issue goes to ANCEL. They then refer the issue to Romondes. I believe they are the one that builds the product. Once they were aware of the issue it was resolved with in a few days.

I bought this to force a DPF regen on my 2008 Duramax. I've tried everything and won't do anything. I bought a USB-C cable to plug it into my laptop it won't even power on. When I tried to contact tech support via a web request, that wouldn't even submit. Total waste of money. Don't buy.

Most dealerships charge a fee to hook up a vehicle to their scanner. If you use this 3 or 4 times it’ll nearly pay for itself. My son used it on his truck and he said it was easy to use and coded everything that needed attention. It was good to know exactly what was wrong with the truck before it went to the shop. I don’t have the printer that goes with it yet but I can easily write down the codes.

Just got the item yesterday and haven't used it but once. Had a lot of updates to do. But that's understandable. Some of the things I tried to run different functions and it would not work. I emailed customer service to find out if it would work with my truck still waiting on a replie. Will up date once I've had a chance to use it more.

Product will do the normal scanner functions but will not preform a DPF regeneration as advertised. It will do a DPF recovery.

I ordered this scanner for my husband who has multiple vehicles that come up with some codes from time to time and require a scanner to check, figure and correct some issues. This is a very nice scanner with multiple functions. My husband has been slowly getting to know and try out this ANCEL HD3500 Pickup Truck Scanner. It seems of very good quality and he has checked a couple of codes in his vehicles so far and has been able to correct a couple. So far it has worked really good, but like I said this type of tool/ equipment requires time to get to know and use correctly. So far it seems great and I will update if any issues arise.
