Most dealerships charge a fee to hook up a vehicle to their scanner. If you use this 3 or 4 times it’ll nearly pay for itself. My son used it on his truck and he said it was easy to use and coded everything that needed attention. It was good to know exactly what was wrong with the truck before it went to the shop. I ordered this scanner for my husband who has multiple vehicles that come up with some codes from time to time and require a scanner to check, figure and correct some issues. This is a very nice scanner with multiple functions. My husband has been slowly getting to know and try out this ANCEL HD3500 Pickup Truck Scanner. It seems of very good quality and he has checked a couple of codes in his vehicles so far and has been able to correct a couple. So far it has worked really good, but like I said this type of tool/ equipment requires time to get to know and use correctly.     • Does nothing... No support. Don't buy.
I bought this to force a DPF regen on my 2008 Duramax. I've tried everything and won't do anything. I bought a USB-C cable to plug it into my laptop it won't even power on. When I tried to contact tech support via a web request, that wouldn't even submit. Total waste of money. Don't buy.

This is a really good scan tool. Is well-made has lots of features and can check a lot of errors. It is easy to use after you play with it for a little while as a nice screen easy to view an easy to operate. Would recommend.

    • Great option as a HD truck scan/diagnostic tool
The media could not be loaded. This is a great tool for diagnostics and provides the ability to conduct active testing. It comes with lifetime updates which is a huge plus especially with continuous vehicle software/firmware updates. It has the feature to create testing/diagnostic reports which is great at the shop especially for several vehicles that are services on a recurring basis. It truly is a powerful tool, loaded with diagnostic, service interval adjustments & resets, and bidirectional communication providing the ability to active test various vehicle systems. My video review is very high level but it provides some of the features of this tool. I highly recommend ditching those other bluetooth scanners or other cheap scan tools and get this comprehensive tool! ... show more
