I used Advatec Aquarium Test Strip to check for ammonia in my aquarium. It worked great and it was so easy! I had never checked for ammonia before. But my fish were dying and someone said it could be ammonia. So I used the Advatec strip and checked results. No ammonia was present. I highly recommend this product.

Bought this as I was adding fish to 3 mature tanks but didn't want to take any chances on losing fish to bad water. The strips were easy to use, all my tanks registered 0. I tested my tap water with a few drops ammonia added, which showed ammonia leading me to believe the test strips are accurate.

Being rather new to the hobby, I develop a passion to know absolutely everything you need to know to be successful at your chosen endeavor. I bought these ammonia test strips, tested my aquarium water, which showed it was ideal btw great color chart laminated card for convenience, then took a water sample of my aquarium to two, not one, but two different fish suppliers and had them check to ensure their strips matched my results and they did perfectly, both of them...so do not fret, these strips are right on, and super easy to use. This is now my trusted supply company for this product for now on..very happy!

I tested my aquarium water with these strips.over and over again the ammonia read as 0.00ppm. This is perfect. I got so many perfect results I feared that these strip were not working as advertised so I dipped one of these strips in vinigar. Vingar is very acidic. The strip indicated that the vingar was 0.00ppm. It should have indicated high acidity. The results of this experament indicated that this vingar would be fine to put my fish in!!!!!!!. This product is a rip off. It's useless for determining the ammonia level in anything. Please save your money. Get a liquid test for ammonia testing for your aquarium water
