Probably my daughter's most favorite clock ever.
Color: Black-a Rainbow
Short story: It's bright, colorful, and really nice to read in the darkness. Setting it up is easy. Comes with a remote to help with set-up, too. Longer story: Bright and colorful. It's not so bright that it's annoying, but even if it is, there's a way to turn that down to a very soft, dim setting. Colors still show up very nicely that way, too. My daughter's room is near pitch-black with her curtains drawn, and while the clock doesn't light up the room, it's good enough to not hurt her eyes when she wakes up and wants to know what time it is (before bolting for the bathroom). Setting up is easy. The buttons aren't the most intuitive things, but it's not hard to figure out what they do and how they work when one first messes with the settings. With the instructions, it becomes very obvious how to set up the clock. I enjoy that it has the ability to do 12 hour or 24 hour time. I don't expect my daughter to want to use 24 hour time, but it's a nice learning tool to have when she gets to wanting to learn how to read and translate it. Date and day of the week displays are nice to have, too, and it's awesome that it reads the temperature in the room, too. No, it's not the most accurate thing, but it's close enough to help me figure out if she needs more blankets in the Winter or if she needs less in the Summer. (Ultimately, she'll do all that herself anyway, but that's besides the point.) Now, mounting tools. It comes with stick-on hooks that you can use to mount the clock tot he wall or screws with anchors. Both are great, but I'd argue with how light this clock is, you probably don't even need the anchors. (Unless the clock's user will want to handle the clock often or will try to use the clock to hang off of or climb on.) I've got the clock hung a few inches from the ceiling, as my kiddo has a tall loft bed and would be able to see it best that way. I wouldn't personally use the stickers, even if I were renting an apartment. I've seen more damage come from those than it is just to fill in a few small holes from nails or screws. That said, I have some confidence that those 3M strips that peel away from a wall easily will also do great holding up the weight of this clock. If you don't mind the sticker-hooks that come with the clock, though, they look sturdy and reliable enough to me. As for the cord, get creative! Decorate the cord with some faux leaves or colorful feathers. You can even paint it to match the color of the room's walls to help hide it. Personally, I just had the wire lining the frame of her closet doors all the way down to the outlet. Thankfully, the cord was just long enough for such a thing. Back-up battery? I set it up just to test it outside of my daughter's room. After unplugging it in the living room, it was about a minute before I was able to plug it back in at my daughter's room. The clock remembered nothing, so I had to set it all up again. I haven't fully tested out how well this clock remembers anything for something like a brown out, but I know it would do terribly in a black out; You'd have to do set-up again, but that's really not hard to do, especially since it comes with a remote. If you're able, plugging this into a battery back-up system's not a bad idea, but unless black-outs happen a lot and you need the alarm to work, I'd say it shouldn't be a deal-breaker. Speaking of the alarm.... Personally, didn't test it. With its position in her room, my daughter has no use for it to be an alarm clock. (Her Alexa device would suffice well enough for that.) She also would have no way of being able to turn it off... although this clock also comes with a remote that can control the alarm, so she could snooze or dismiss it that way. However, the remote is so slim and compact, I can see her losing that VERY easily. If I didn't already have clocks for my own room, I'd be tempted to have my own colorful wall clock, too. This thing's got a nice-sized display and is really easy to set up however I'd like it to be. If I find the need, I'd definitely buy another one of these, even as a gift for a friend or something. (Or a baby shower! This would be great for a baby's room... especially for very tired parents during the first few months. Best way to help them keep track of the time and days, I think, haha!) ... show more

Well I went from wanting to send this crazy clock back to Amazon to now telling you how much I love it in this review! The problem I had was the instructions do not tell you that you not only have to install the battery first and then connect the provided cord and adapter into the wall. Nothing in the instructions tell you that!! So since I didn't know that you have to have both the battery connected AND the cord plugged in for the display to come on, I thought the clock was defective or the battery was dead and I was honestly going to return it! But once I figured that out and the display came on, I found the English setup instructions under "MANNUAL" (LOL) and found it very easy to set up using the remote! I was actually surprised it was so easy! I must admit that I probably will not be using the alarm because I am retired so I really can't speak for the alarm. But the display, in my opinion is beautiful in the color I chose, the white-multi one. So many of the displays do not show the matching size display for the day. They show the large date and large temperature and a very, very small display for the day. But this display is perfect! I don't think the indoor temperature is exactly accurate but it's not too far off. I have the display brightness set to auto dimming but I love that there are four different brightness settings to choose from. I LOVE this clock and if anything ever goes wrong with it, I swear I will buy another one. I have it on the kitchen table where I can see those big bright numbers while sitting in my assigned spot on the couch (you know, the spot the dog allows you to sit in) in the living room. What a great find for my 70 year old eyes and I mean that! I highly, highly recommend it! ... show more

Cute and easy to read

Needed a clock for my living room and I wanted something that didn't look so dull. This has been great. It looks cute, easy to read, keeps time, is easy to set up, and you can adjust the brightness so its not distracting.

Finally got setup. Frustration level high.

1. English Instructions missed because sheet struck together. THOUGHT ONLY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES. 2 Instructions in online troubleshooting in English refer to users manual. What user manual? Finally found them missed again because manual was spelled MANNUAL. 3. Instructions pictures did not show how to do many operations like inserting the round battery. 4. Buttons for setting and instructions mention buttons not labeled like instructions. 5. Set up very confusing, but eventually able to figure out my trail and error. 6. Could not get remote to work. Could not open remote battery. 7 No way found on Amazon to reach seller. 8. Remote very cheap looking and very small. 9. Display not in color. ONLY PLUS FOUND SO FAR IS BLACK AND WHITE DISPLAY IS LARGE AND VERY READABLE. BE SURE TO FIND ENGLISH DIRECTIONS BEFORE STARTING. WILL NOT SOLVE DOME PROBLEMS. ... show more
