This came in a box that led me to believe this fireplace would be mostly put together. I sure was wrong when I opened the box to discover that there were tons and tons of pieces. While the finished product does look great I will say that this is a cheaply made product. The wood pieces are thin and I actually screwed some holes right through accidentally. Be careful with that. This took about an hour and a half to put together with one person doing most of the work. I did have the help of another person for just a couple of the install but that was it. This does a great job of heating and looks great when on. It comes with a remote that you can adjust the temp and the lighting mode for the flame. ... show more

It took a very long time to put together......, and the directions are absolutely horrible and frustrating! Note to the company: You really need to redo the directions people! One part needed redone, luckily it came apart! I liked the stickers, they were helpful. It took one person .....4/5 hrs to complete. The finished product was great! It is as shown and described, beautiful! For this reason and the fact it came in good shape, i gave it 4 stars. Luckily we did not need to return it. Ours had only one minor flaw, and easily touched it up with some off white paint. I was hoping I got a good one! With this one I guess you order and just find out. It was summer ....so not much use yet, but very soon! Tested it and it is working, a good value, remote works good and not super noisy. We tested the heat output, as best we could for a bit and it works too. I'd buy one again. ... show more

I was first very surprised with how many pieces it has to assemble. The "wood" is a poor quality printed plastic and the heater was broken inside of the package, Now I have to put everything back in the box to return it. No happy at all!!!!!

Look beautiful but the instructions are awful. The fasteners are all horrid and some bits don't fit very well. Holes aren't super lined up, but once it's all put together it looks fantastic!

    • Bear to assemble, but looks amazing when done
Assembly took two people a full hour, which was insane. It comes in a complete shamble, lots of flimsy pieces of wood, no baseboard or frame to assemble around. You're going to be doing this from the ground up, so this was one of the first times I was tempted to hire someone from Task Rabbit to assemble furniture. Not what I expected from such an expensive piece of furniture, especially compared to similar products. The end product, though, is probably worth all the hassle. This is a beautiful artificial fireplace that works really. There are multiple lighting and heating settings, and it's definitely going to get a workout this winter. It really adds some beautiful ambience and decor to a room, especially if you're going for a farmhouse feeling. The white oak doesn't look too impressive out of the box, but when all the screws are in and it goes from looking like a pile of trash dumped out on your floor to this beautiful fireplace, it's just glorious. I love the remote, it really keys into my laziness. This is an incredible experience, having this dim glow and warm air heating the room all night during the bomb cyclone.
