I wish I had read more of the reviews before wasting my money on this product. I don't like writing negative reviews but every time I use the seat I have to be careful so I don't fall. Each use loosens the plastic bolts. Try to use two times without retightening the bolts means it will totally come off. Perhaps young children would not have any issues. ... show more

I bought this seat solely because it is manufactured by American Standard to fit my American Standard toilet. I wanted another wooden seat but couldn’t find one so I went with the plastic version because it had decent reviews. It shouldn’t. It is designed with two tabs that lift up so you can slide the seat on and off for easy cleaning. Great idea in theory, but in practice the tabs CONSTANTLY pop up, causing the seat to scoot around while seated on it. And the plastic nuts that screw onto the plastic bolts that attach the seat to the bowl constantly unscrew because the seat didn’t include rubber washers. I’m already researching a replacement, but I’m annoyed that I spent a decent amount of money on this one. ... show more
