  • Easy install, quality product at a great value!
Color: Crane White Size: Slow Close Elongated
Wasn't sure what to expect from thos product wmfir value with such a low price but such good reviews. Installation was very easy (you do not need to jand tighten this! The hard wing on the nut allows you to just use a screwdriver). Even though the bolts are plastic, this toilet seat is very high quality and closes super quietly. It's a perfect fit for my toilet down to the cm. Very happy with this replacement of my old crusty toilet seat that was too big. Highly recommend this A+++ ... show more

  • Perfect toilet seat!
Color: Bone Size: Standard Elongated
I have been using this toilet seat for a month. It was designed by a genius! It has a solid wood core for strength and durability, with an outer layer of plastic to make it a bit lighter in weight than a solid wood seat, plus smooth and shiny and cleanable with detergents without worrying about removing an enamel surface, The seat is comfortable, and the lid feels solid to sit on. The bone color perfectly matches my old American Standard bone-colored toilet. It's a great product! ... show more

  • Truly durable, easy to clean, woodcore seat
Color: Crane White Size: Slow Close Round
I have been struggling to find a sturdy (not lightweight plastic), easy to clean, and durable seat for a long time. I'd resorted to buying painted molded wooden seats (heavy composite wood). I was always disappointed with how quickly the paint wore off with light cleaning and use. This seat is perfect! Bc it's covered in plastic, but wood cored, it's actually easy to clean and durable! Nothing comes off! I'm thrilled!!!! I was replacing our seat every year or so but this seat seems like it will last. The soft close is really slow, but works. No slamming. I expect it will loosen w time. It works perfectly and will last. So happy! ... show more

  • Great toilet seat just no slow closing feature
Color: White Size: Standard Elongated
The seat is comfortable and easy to install for sure. But on the slow close feature, I don't know where it is at because this seat does not close slow at all. It closes like a normal toilet seat. I got the basic White and it matches my white toilet and as far as stain resistant I have not had it long enough to wear a stain could possibly be left. So overall I am happy with this purchase ... show more

  • Beautifully made
Color: Biscuit Size: Standard Round
Sounds very funny BUT: This is the nicest toilet seat Ive ever owned!👍Its solid/ heavy duty feel but with a beautifully colored (cream) veneer. Who would have thought such a thing would be so pleasing but it looks and feels nice! It replaced a really cheap plastic one with water stains, so yes!!! Im happy! PS I did not hear my husband swear while installing! So it was easy to install. I’d like to thank the company for making a nice-looking and durable product!!! ... show more

  • Things I wish I had known before I bought
Color: White Size: Slow Close Elongated
I’m writing this review mainly to make people aware of some quirks of/tips for this product and its installation. First, the product itself – I’ve only had a short while but so far, subject to the rest of this review, it seems well-made. I did not want a flimsy plastic toilet seat but all of the wooden painted ones I have had stained quickly and were not easy to clean or could not be cleaned at all without damaging the paint. This being a wooden seat covered with a layer of plastic, so far, seems to be a good solution. Time will tell as to its longevity. The quirks/tips : 1. The first one I received had a long straight thin scratch in the surface of the plastic on the top of the seat at the front right as you are facing the toilet. It looks like a scratch had occurred in shipping or it had been cut with a blade. I returned the item for a replacement and the second one has the exact same thin straight scratch in the same place. So it must be part of the manufacturing process and is likely on all of these. 2. I see why people complain about the tabs covering the screws not staying in place. This is due to poor design and manufacturing. The tabs were manufactured to be closed once and only once – at the factory. I was surprised no one has mentioned that you have to apply an INCREDIBLE amount of force to get them open the first time because there is no way to bend the fastening tabs back or shift them to make it open easily, and opening them is not addressed in the instructions at all. Because they were designed (for whatever reason) to close securely at the factory without any regard to needing to open them again, you are literally breaking/ deforming the little tabs that hold it closed the very first time you have to open it. There are still enough of these little tabs left that it closes properly a few more times – but since the instructions say that you should open these tabs periodically to tighten the bolts, I can easily see how repeatedly opening and close them will eventually cause these little tabs to fail because you have to damage them to get them open the very first time and it’s only gonna get worse every time thereafter. I just tightened the screws down as best I could the first time and the seat hasn’t shifted so far. 3. The little “feet” on the underside of the seat where the seat rests on the bowl could be problematic. The front feet are much taller than the back feet, meaning that when the seat is lowered, the back feet are not contacting the surface of the toilet at all, and the back half of the seat is just sort of suspended in air held by the hinges. To me this means that if you are a heavier person, there is a chance that the seat will flex because the back is not being supported/held in place by anything and body weight will push the back half of the seat down until it eventually touches the toilet bowl, which may eventually cause the seat to break, either by splitting the seat or breaking it at the hinges since the hinges are the only thing supporting the weight on the back half of the seat. 4. The hinge attachment system is completely counterintuitive to any toilet bowl fastening system I have seen. It’s still the standard “screws through the top, washer on the bottom“ – but the washer is engineered in such a way that you cannot tighten the washer from below (it has a long thumb tab that prevents it from turning). You have to insert the screw from the top through the washer and then use a screwdriver from the top to tighten the screw down while holding the washer in place. Just very odd. So future tightening of the seat requires opening the hinge tabs (which may cause them to eventually fail – see above) rather than tightening the washer from below. 5. To keep the seat from sliding side to side, a rubber anti-slip mat is provided to go under each hinge. This is poorly molded and does not stay in place - you may think you have it attached but when you flip the seat over to install it, they will just fall off. I’ve seen others here suggest using scotch tape to hold them on during the install – I just ended up gluing them on with rubber cement. 6. Expect to do some minor cleanup when you get it. The manufacturing process of putting the plastic layer on means that there is some plastic “flash“ at the seams (extra bits of extruded plastic were the seams were not smooth down) that you will need to remove. It’s pretty easy to remove with a fingernail or something else gentle without damaging the surface. 7. I would definitely follow the instructions and clean this only with a soft cloth rather than something abrasive or even paper towels. The surface is not truly a “hard plastic“ and appears to be more of a plastic/rubber coating so it seems to scratch very easily. So – all in all, for the $27 or so I paid, I’m happy with it so far because I think that the innovative “wood in encased in plastic” is a better – and frankly, also less expensive – option than the plastic or wood seats I could find at my local home improvement store. I hope the longevity holds up but, even if it doesn’t, it’s not an expensive purchase should I need to replace it. But there are definite quirks about the manufacture and installation process that I wish I had been warned about before purchase - especially the hinge tabs where you feel like you are at risk of breaking them the first time you open them because of the amount of force you have to use. ... show more
