After receiving a Toto bidet seat as a Christmas gift, my husband and I have become converts. These things are a total game changer in feeling clean and fresh all day long. With this new “enlightened world view” my husband and I set out to convert all of the remaining toilet seats in our domain. Unfortunately as we began to add up the number of toilets in our two homes and the associated costs we began to consider alternatives. We began reflecting on what features were the most important to us and which ones we could live without. The American Standard was less expensive and looked promising so we decided to purchase it to test and compare with our more expensive Toto. We installed it in the powder room of our main home and we’re pleasantly surprised. While it lacks the features of a remote control, dryer, bowl pre mister, air deodorizer, presets, etc, it has the features that we want and use the most. It also produces a larger spray of water than the Toto which we prefer. It fit great on our powder room’s elongated toilet and we couldn’t have been more happy with our decision. We also have cottage which has a Kohler Memories round toilet. Since it’s round and not elongated we initially thought that the American Standard wouldn’t work. We strongly prefer the look of a low profile bidet seat (especially on a round bowl) but the only ones we could find were by Toto and they were running around a grand. Having been so pleased with our American Standard bidet seat we took some measurements and decided to take a chance and see if we could make it fit on our round toilet. The installation went great and fits with plenty of room! The bidet seat’s shape isn’t a perfect match for the round bowl but we decided that it matches up well enough for our casual beach cottage and the overall appearance was pretty good. If American Standard would ever consider making the more perfect round shaped seat available we will replace it in a heartbeat! Until that time we will happily live with this one and possibly upgrade to the more expensive round Toto model down the road once this one has lived out it’s useful existence.     • One major flaw
It is good except one major flaw. When the power (electricity) goes off and comes back the seat warmer and water heater turns on at max which means it is heating your toilet seat and water all day and night and using a lot of electricity. Your electric bill will go up. Even when you turn them on when using the toilet and forget to turn it keeps the heater running. ... show more

    • Seat Warmer lacks a timer
Why doesn't the seat warmer automatically shut itself off as opposed to just being on and running f-o-r-e-v-e-r?!? Maybe it's me... ? Also, the lid could be less flimsy. Note: The price point is what it should be. I looked at a lot of different manufacturers and I liked that this had all the features without any of the unneeded frills. It's a pretty simple operation - doesn't need to cost over a $1000 and come with a remote - which the high end units cost and come with. Just sayin'.... ... show more

    • Slim, sleek design. Works well
Has a decent amount of water pressure for quick clean. The hot water seems endless. Quality built and somple Low profile was important to me, most other bidets on the market have a water tank and is very high in the back. No dryer or remote which would of been nice. The night light is white, blue would of looked nicer. Also the power cord comes out of the left side, seemed a little odd. Over all iy works well and is a keeper. ... show more

It arrived and I had it installed in 10 minutes. You just need to be sure and tighten the water connection well. Fit and color matched as expected since our toilet is an American Standard too.

    • customer service sucks
spray works OK temperature control is OK installation was reasonably easy. have had it for 8 months. after 6 months it started dripping 1 large drop per second. this causes our well pump to run extra especially at night. i contacted customer service and was put on hold for 1 hr and finally hung up. Sent an email and was given a case number and told i would be contacted at their convenience. it has been 2 weeks and no contact. customer service is less than good. ... show more

    • Make sure it will fit your toilet before purchasing.
Unfortunately I was not able to use it because it didn't fit my toilet. For sanitary reasons it couldn't be returned. (It was opened) I ended up wasting my money. :-(

    • Leaked after about 9 months use
Had a good spray, relatively simple to install, heated seat was nice. But, it began to leak after around 9 months of use. Contacted mfg and received no reply. Had to uninstall it.
