Needed something more visually as my amps (Orion XTR750.4 for front & rear components, CT-Sounds 1000.1D for the sub(s)) looked like overkill to those with less than general/current knowledge of newer subs with a single 10" Tropo. To the educated the Tropo 10" 2ohm wired to 1ohm could handle the 1000 watts RMS just fine despite not utilising 100% of it's potential. I prefer SQL as I enjoy all types of music and movies. These two 12s in this box do not disappoint. With a proper box even a cheap sub can sound good given it's tuned properly. I was so pleased with the 10" box that I had to go with the dual 12 Box from here b4 I tried ported or kerf designed box. As a man who enjoys variety I will most likely get one of those last 2 mentioned eventually. Will make it hard though once these 12s break in. This box as far as I can tested, will allow you to tune it for everything or make it hit certain frequencies so hard people will wonder why they went ported. Worth every penny.     • Great deal for the price
I installed my two 12" Cerwin Vega DVC speakers into them. I had to mount them sideways because the bottom is too close to the bottom. The bottom of the left circle was broke in shipping, but I didn't want to return it. It seemed to seal fine, and I wasn't too worried. I needed this box to fit under the back seat of my van, which had exactly 12" of clearance. The circles were rather large, and didn't give much room for the screws to have bite in mounting. I just was real careful and predrilled the holes. Again, it worked out, but if I was to make the holes exactly for the speakers I mounted, I would have cut the holes smaller. I installed a string left to right inside the box to suspend the wires away from the box. Also, mounting the speakers sideways made the DVC connections more suspended. The connectors for the speakers needs an odd size female connector, or an O-ring type connector. The outside connector is a screw down type. At first had the speaker wire insulation pushed butted up, which will clamp down the insulation instead of the wire, so be careful! The box produced accurate sharp bass that rattled everything. Pushing in on the speakers seemed to reveal that there was a good seal all around. I hate to be too critical, because for the price, it works fine. Good box, construction is fine. I needed a slanted box and didn’t feel like making one. If I did it would look like this box. The enclosure volume is too big for my subs but I really don’t care because they work fine still. I have old subs and they mounted without hitting the bottom wood, but if you have large magnets I could see where this could be an issue. ... show more
