The media could not be loaded. First: be sure the power is turned off before you attempt this installation! Our garage door button was wearing out and needed to be replaced. The wiring is straight forward: red wire goes to red wire screw on the back of this switch, and the white wire to the white wire screw. But my old switch was shorter and the screw holes didn’t align (see video and picture attached to this review). So I used one of the existing screw holes and drilled a pilot hole for a new screw hole to align with this new switch. I ended up using the existing screws which were shorter than the ones that came with the new switch. I also had to bring the wires that attached to the new switch down a little bit given the size differences (I just removed a staple that had anchored the existing wiring which gave me a couple more inches to work with). I love that it glows in the dark making it so much easier to find in darkness. The button has a solid feel to it and it works perfectly. Worth every penny. ... show more
