These 15" XFL are some of the best sounding and preforming subs I have ever heard. I have been in car audio for over 30 years so I have had a lot of subs. These are awesome because whether you want a sub that gets ridiculously loud and windy or if you are looking for a great sounding smooth sub this does both. Sounds great with rock, rap and all types of music. I bout after seeing HiFi Vector YT review and believe me they do not disappoint! They are also pretty efficient subs so you can run a smaller amp like 1500w as long as you set your gains and don't clip for casual listening ( dont over set gain with smaller amp because they need more power to get the max out of them you will just burn up the amp or sub so keep that in mind. You can clip both underpowering and over powering) For max output the do great on a 3K. I would say 3k Is max amp is max and a 2500 would be great as well to be optimal. ... show more

Absolute Monster. Has a really good (on the smaller size) cu/ft requirements and I was able to use my tuned box for my 12" Audiopipe speaker with this 15" American Bass. This thing rocks... I'm sorry ... but a 15" is going to more than likely out-pound a 12" just based on air movement. For the price ... this thing just can't be beat. How loud? My muffler (right below the 15) pipe broke right next to the muffler due to crazy spl. I guess that should be a warning then ... it can and will shake your car apart. I'm running an 1850W @ 1ohm. I can turn it up to about 90% no problem... but when I do- my head lights dim like crazy haha. I have a small er and older car so boosting the alternator's output isn't really an option unfortunately. Highly recommend this beast! ... show more

    • Buyer Beware!!! Poor Quality Craftsmanship and horrible customer support. They do not honor the 1 year warranty on these Subs!!!

I ordered 2 of these for a custom built box made to spec for these subwoofers. They sounded great for about 2 days after we installed into a customers build. They were hooked up to an Audiopipe 3000.1d at 2 ohms. One Subwoofer held up well and the other did not. The voice coil completely came unraveled and was buzzing and causing the amp to go into protect every time the bass would hit. Contacted customer support with JB tool Sales about this problem and they told me I had to contact the manufacturer. American Bass boasts about a 1 year warranty on their Subs, but they do not honor it. Seller keeps pushing me to the manufacturer and vice versa. This is ridiculous. Amazon took the side of the seller even though I spent upwards of 20K with their company last year alone. This is not including what I have spent in 2015. I advise against buying these subs because theyi are hit or miss in craftsmanship. ... show more
