  • Great frequency response. And Great build quality
Size: 15 Inch
Great subs for the price handle the rated power and then some. They handle my taramps smart bass 3k all day long which has been dynoed at 3978 watts rms. Subs are moving at half or less x max. Went overkill on the box but I feel like a good box is what you need for any decent setup

  • Time to upgrade and customize!!
Size: 15 Inch
I bought a single AB Hawk 1544 in May. At same time I purchased a Stinger MT 2000.1 mono amp and a run of 1/0 OFC. I went the easy way for the single 15 and purchased a q-bomb 3.25 cube box. it sounds good for a single speaker but it can only wire to 2ohms. So now I found another one cheap (229.99). This time I will be partnering with the owner of a wood shop that has a cnc table router. the custom box We are designing will be subs inverted on top and Kerf/slot ports on each end facing rearward. each sub will have its own chamber. once complete I will be cutting out viewing windows in the back and filling to full 3/4 to get flush with the mdf. i am then going to mix up some mica powder and splatter paint each 1/8 to 1/4 pour with a different color pattern for a total of 4 layers and .a 3d look in the epoxy. I am also going to get a 12” wide strip of red carbon fiber and accent the outer edge of the speaker cutout. i will be attempting to get anywhere from a 33htz to a 40htz tune. then the whole exterior of box will be coated with the multi pattern layout. here are a few renders from chat gpt, not exactly right but in right direction. Last note: The stinger amp pushes over 2900w at 1ohm on dyno so this will be well suited for these subs. here are the renderings: ... show more

I highly recommend for someone who’s wanting big BASS on a stock car electrical system. ... show more

  • Cheap subwoofer and no range.
Size: 15 Inch
Unboxed and had my subwoofers installed by a professional shop. The shops owner pulls me aside and tells me he doesn't think these are rated for 1500 rms. The magnets seem too small. My amp was on the lowest setting and my bass knob was half. I told them not to worry. Heard the subwoofers and was no impressed by them. They hit lows but hardly had any range. 30 minutes later I'm driving down the road when I smell the subwoofer burn and feel less bass. I'm running half power. The subwoofer had no damage or faulty wires. And it still blew. Completely seized up and was done. You get what you pay for with these. Not worth it. I fortunately had the warranty. I sent those back next day. Even called customer care for American bass and it was horrible. It was like they couldn't understand why a subwoofer blew in 30 mins without even turning it up. Never again. ... show more

  • It'll shake your guts.
Size: 15 Inch
I was looking for a beefy budget 15" to replace my blown SoundQubed sub and couldn't be happier with this American Bass Hawk. It's in a 3.75 ft3 ported box tuned to 37 hz. It gets down and nasty and handles my RF Power T1500 nicely. If you're looking to take it easy on your electrical by running your amp at 2 ohms instead of 1, then I highly recommend this sub. ... show more
