For a cheap toaster this thing works great. This toaster cooks evenly, that is what I was looking for in a toaster. My last two toasters (different brands) would not toast properly. Don't waste your time on expensive brands, this one is excellent.

I am editing my review, I initially gave this a 1 star at first use because of the uneven toasting and other issues. 10 days after having used it every day, the toaster has adjusted and all the coils or heating elements have had a chance to be used, the toaster heats my bread evenly, in a beautiful way. It took few uses to kick in so to speak. I like my toaster and glad I did not return it, it works as intended, and the price is so right. Will this toaster last a long time? no idea but again neither will I. For now this is a good purchase that taught me patience and acceptance.

I needed a toaster, just for a short while, while I am at this place. I always prefer vintage toasters, from the 1950's as they toast so good. But those toasters aren't cheap, and I was looking for a bargain. This toaster was the lowest priced. I was expecting something that would barely get the job done, however, this toaster works as good as my 1950 model General Mills toaster. The toaster surface is perfect from side to side, no white spots on the bread. I had reservations about this toaster, but now I am glad I purchased it. It was a return, so $13 was a steal for this unit. If you are on the fence about buying a toaster, I highly recommend this one!! It also has the cool touch surface, which I love !! Thanks. Kem. We really like the looks of this toaster. The silver front shines against the black sides. So simple to use. It will defrost frozen bread, toast a bagel or 2 pieces of toast. I like medium and partner likes dark toast but no problem in easily switching the button back and forth. I see the toasting area is large enough for any fat bagel I could toast. Nothing fancy but how fancy do you really need your toaster to be? My 4 slice huge toaster was failing to do anything but burn toast. Time for a new 2 slice to save counter space. So inexpensive too for Amazons basic toaster. If I get a year out of it, I’m a winner. I want it to last and see no problem. I’m just saying $23 isn’t a lot if I need a new one again. I’m thankful for the quick delivery. Ordered last night and it arrived this afternoon.

Kind of cheaply made, but what isn't. Works okay. The last two positions on the rotary switch should be labeled as slightly burned, and burnt to a crisp. Slot sizes are bagel approved. Looks cheap up close, but okay from afar. Crumb trays are in the back requiring the unit to be turned around to empty them. Small things all.

Well it works and it arrived on time. But it toasts unevenly with one side of the toast darker than the other and the top darker than the bottom. Plus the dinger to alert me that it’s popped up is not very loud, so I often don’t hear it. I also don’t like the fact that the crumb drawer has to be emptied from the back. It’s very inconvenient to have to move the whole toaster around to empty the crumb drawer. I can’t wait for it to break so I can justify buying a better one.

This is a good toaster. Works well. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s hard to tell what setting the toaster is on because the setting line on the knob blends into the color of the toaster. Other than that it is great.
