UPDATE: I gave away the Navy large, and sent back the Navy medium because it was a bit too big also. Ordered the small in the black and leaf color and it is very clingy, hugging the torso everywhere. Sending it back. It’s a nice thin turtleneck if you can find a size that fits. Maybe the different colors fit differently. The material is very nice. Lightweight, soft, a little stretchy, opaque, comfortable, saturated colors. The fit is “classic”, which means that it doesn’t hug your middle. It’s comfortably fitting through the shoulders, arms, and bust, and loose around the waist. Looks good layered or tucked in. It washes well in the washer and dryer, and doesn’t wrinkle. I ordered a large instead of my usual medium, because a lot of Amazon Essentials run small. I’m going to get others in medium though. ... show more

I bought some flannel shirts on Amazon from several different companies which didn't fit right and I returned them. Most fit in the bust (or a little too large in the shoulder), then narrowed down at the hips like a man would need. I found some flannel shirts from the 'Zeagoo' company in a Large, and was happily shocked they fit perfectly and looked very flattering on me (bust 45", waist 39", hips 43")! I bought SEVEN! The have a huge selection of pretty colors. :D These turtleneck Amazon Essentials are the perfect accompaniment for them, and I bought five. They feel silky smooth, and feel heavy and warm, but breathable. I'm very happy with them. I got black, navy, army green, in solids, and black with tiny white dots, and a navy with tiny tan dots. The product info says the fabric is 56 percent cotton, 38 percent modal (a semi synthetic fabric made from beech tree pulp) and 6 percent Spandex. It also describes the fabric as "heavy weight fleece with a brushed back." It's not. The garment has a silky feel and it's stretchy. It's doesn't feel anything like cotton, it's very synthetic. The description also says, "close but comfortable fit." I ordered my actual size and found it was tighter around my middle than my other 90 percent cotton turtle necks. If you like looser, you could go up a size but the arms might be too long. I am keeping the 2 that I bought, and have been wearing them under my (real cotton/wool) flannel shirts as an extra layer. (I live in New England). The price is OK, but if you're looking for a "classic" cotton turtleneck, this isn't it. ... show more

This is really nicely made. I'm 5'4 105 & chose s. Xs would be tight but the small is just right for under a shirt or jacket. Doesn't look like it will pill which is nice. The fabric is smooth & comfortable

Wonderful turtlenecks! I needed a couple of turtlenecks for fall and happened upon these. Frankly, I usually buy all cotton turtlenecks and don’t generally like blends, but the price and value on these was too hard to resist trying them out. I got navy and the light cream color. The feel of these is wonderful! They are silky smooth and with just the “heft” I wanted to wear under winter sweaters or alone on fall days. Others have commented on the arms being tight, and frankly they are snugger than most of the turtlenecks I have. But since I have relatively skinny arms it wasn’t a problem for me. The body fit me slimly but not tight or body hugging. For me it was just right, not too loose not skin tight. Though I haven’t yet washed them, the quality seems very nice, definitely way better than I expected given their reasonable price. I’ll likely add a couple more in other colors to my winter wardrobe. For reference, I am 5’11 and around 160 pounds. I ordered the size large Amazon recommended for me and they were a perfect fit. ... show more
