This lightweight rain jacket/windbreaker is reminiscent of a vintage London Fog that I misplaced in the early 80s. It's light enough to wear on a rainy summer day, or to layer over a warm sweater during a gusty fall trip to the pumpkin patch. It's very well made, and likely to last for many years. It's stand-up collar unzips to reveal a hood that comes in handy when you're caught in a downpour and don't want to get your hair wet. The fit is true to size, with adjustable toggles at the hips to cinch the bottom for a better fit, or to keep the wind out. The pockets are deep enough to keep your hands warm or hold your cell phone, and they zip to prevent losing items you want to secure. I got the olive green and it's a beautiful, flattering color that looks good with most skin tones. The zipper seems to be of good quality, and it works smoothly and doesn't stick or pull apart, so far. For a price point of $12 to $24 one would be pleasantly surprised at the quality and details that went into the design and manufacturing of these jackets. If you're in the market for an attractive, lightweight, rain/wind jacket, that can be worn almost year around, I strongly recommend considering this one. ... show more

Surprisingly terrific rain jacket -- very pleased

I use this all the time. ALL the time. It's nice looking. It's the exact right fit and size they advertised. It's lightweight, it's warm, fits over a sweater, fits over a tee shirt. I am surprised at the price. Surprised at the quality. I was in the market for a nice raincoat for a trip where it rains all the time, and was planning to buy a used raincoat in a very fancy, snooty brand. And then I saw this one. It's cheaper than the second hand snooty one. I wouldn't feel terrible about scuffing this up. Plus I loved the color. So I took a chance. I ordered this one. Turns out it's terrific. I can wear it to a funeral, a meeting, a festival, or camp. It would have worked great on that trip which I had to cancel. Don't ask. I'm still salty about it. This has become my spring jacket and I love it. I feel very confident wearing it. Bonus: if you're going to scrunch it up and stuff it into a backpack like I often do, those zippered pockets are very useful for keeping things where you want them to be. Seems good for the price

I was very surprised by how nice the jacket was, but I ended up returning it because it was too big. I would've exchanged it but I just decided to go with something else that I could try on in person. I don't know if it was quite as "packable" as I was hoping, since it was kind of bulky, but I think it would have worked well for a trip to the UK when we're expecting a lot of rain. It was warm but not too warm, decently thick, had some shape (so I didn't feel like a big blob) and felt like good quality. I am usually a large or extra large in Amazon blouses and tops, but I was swimming in the XL in this jacket. I wasn't sure if a large would work or if I'd need to go all the way down to a medium. Summer's must have jacket!

Just received this item today and I'm thrilled. I ordered the short version because I'm only 5'1". It's a perfect fit right at or a smidge below the hips - and for me, I found it to be rue to size. I'm typically an xs and that's what I ordered. Fit was loose (but not oversized) and I could have easily worn a sweater underneath. Another nice feather is jacket's slightly nipped in waist to avoid a boxy look. As to the material, it's amazing. Warm but not overbearing or thick, it boasts heat sealed seams that should keep you dry even on the wettest days. But it's summer, so I have no way of knowing for sure. Love the interior zippered pocket as well as the two outside secure zipper pockets. And toggle adjustments at the hem offer a custom fit. All in all, this is a great jacket with features that rival those of the more expensive brands at a third of the cost. ... show more

Rain squall lightweight jacket.

I just received this hooded rain jacket I was so surprised by the craftsmanship at only $32. It is surprisingly well made and nothing is overlooked. The snaps are good size and sturdy. the zipper is heavy duty and comes full length to protect the neck from wind. The hood has pull cords to get the hood tighter and there is a pull cord for around the waist to pull it tighter which is important especially in wind and rain. It is lightweight and roomy. I order the XL even tho I am 5'5" and 140 lbs so in the winter I can add heavy sweaters and still have room.....I lived in Maine as a teenager and had many Maine slickers back in the day. This by far has the same craftsmanship as the heavier slickers but the workmanship is comparable. Amazing value Amazon Essentials. A must buy for anyone.. Very pleased. Forgot to mention that pockets are not only deep but are zippered. Everything very well thought out. ... show more

Couldn't be happier with this jacket

Could not be happier with this purchase. I needed a lightweight, but solid, raincoat that was packable. This fit the bill in every way. The fabric and lining are high quality. I wanted pockets and a hood, and the waist draw string added some style to the jacket. It was roomie enough that I could layer it with puffy vests and sweaters, and held up to the rain in England, Wales and Ireland. Traveled well being rolled up and shoved into overheads on trains and planes and still looked wrinkle-free and presentable. Can't believe the value for the price. ... show more

Such a cute, comfy, and overall excellent rain jacket. The color is a true match to what the picture looked like. I would definitely size up, only 1 size bigger, since it's a slimmer fit. Super light and compact, the zipper is great. hoodie a bit weird, but it's still a 10/10 in my books
