We just wanted a basic, inexpensive coffee maker for our cabin and we are very satisfied with this machine. One of the very best highlights for us is that it pours perfectly!!! Brew speed might be a little slower than others, but acceptable. Brew temp is good and the warmer stays a a good serving temp. Some reviews question durability but I've tried all the name brands and had them all fail in 12-24 months at 3 and 4 times the price. We also love that the clock is bright and easy to read and not some horrible color that you can't read from 3 feet away like the one on our "brand name" machine at home. Highly recommend!

Highly Functional and Attractive

Has what I wanted most: Programmable, reusable filter basket, brew strength, i.e., select stronger brew, and small (width and depth smaller than many competitors). All with an affordable price. So I got one. Within 2 weeks, the warmer plate chipped and showed signs of wear --- see photo. So I went back to square one, researching for a coffee maker that would meet my criteria. Ended up wanting the SAME, so replaced. Return was smooth. The 2nd one is holding up better. Luck? Or maybe I am not keeping the burner on as much? Bottom line: It's sleek, functional, my coffee is waiting for me when I get up and it's inexpensive. The coffee brews at a hot temp, too! My story: Recently moved. Decided didn't want the bulky, counter hogging 3-way coffee maker, so left it behind. Reunited with an "attic" friend: old Mr. Coffee standard coffee maker. Realized it offered a lot of what I like: programmable, a warmer with adjustable temperate and auto shut off, reusable filter (cone shaped), and the pot was white. Shortly after starting to use again, the carafe broke. I invested (too much) to replace carafe, but had to settle for a black pot. Well, the coffee maker completely died a few months after buying the new carafe (for almost as much as new coffee maker). Bought a new popular brand coffee maker similar to this one. The cord was so short it did not reach my under cabinet power strip. Returned it and got this coffee maker. The Amazon coffee maker isn't white (but the black with silver accent looks fine and I bought a white extension cord to plug into under the cabinet power strip). It does not have adjustable temp on the warmer but I don't miss that. It does not have the cone shape reusable filter which I prefer. But really I don't miss that either. If you want sleek, slender, hot coffee, programmable, stronger brew option, warmer with auto shut off, reusable filter, decent carafe (doesn't drip much), for a low price, this is your machine.

Great Basic Coffee Maker

I would give it a 5 but the buttons are not very sensitive and sometimes I have trouble getting it to respond. Other than that, it is a great coffee maker. It brews quickly and stays hot. It is fantastic. There is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee waiting in the morning. I am an early riser and love the programmable capability. I recommend this coffee maker.

Good, simple coffee maker BUT ....

Can't say too much negative about it. It makes coffee ..... no bells and whistles. However, I am used to having a water reservoir on my coffee makers that you fill every other day or three and if I forget to add enough water for the amount of coffee I chose to make, they usually alarm, pause the brewing and tell me to add more water. Regrettably, I need that extravagant feature. With this coffee maker, you pour the amount of water in the bin to match the amount of ground coffee you put in the basket each time you make coffee. Unfortunately, I forgot to add water (due to my dependency on an intelligent device}, started the brewing (on an empty water bin) and went to walk the dog. Came back for that steaming brew of goodness and there was no coffee. I instantly understood what I did wrong and poured water in the bin to try again. Needless to say, the device must have burnt some circuitry since it wouldn't start up at all. Tried all sort of diagnostics on it and it still wouldn't work. I guess this is more of a review on my intelligence than the coffee maker itself. Just be aware that it requires water to work!!

I’ve had this for about 6 months (nope 9 months already!) now, I think, and it’s just wonderful. I make coffee every day, one pot. I don’t use the programming bc I like to sleep in, but it looks very easy to do. It makes the pot in about 5 minutes anyway while I’m feeding my pets. The temperature is just right. Much better than my Mr Coffee that I thought was the best. Very stylish.

Amazon Basics 12 cup programmable coffee maker

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this coffee maker because of the price, but it ended up brewing pretty much the same quality coffee as my old Mr. Coffee. The strong brew option does make the cup a little richer, which I like. A couple things could be better. The buttons don’t have much feel to them, and sometimes they don’t respond unless your finger is in just the right spot. I also miss the little beep my old coffee maker made when it turned off. This one only has a small red light to show it’s still on, and it’s easy to overlook. Otherwise, it’s simple, clean-looking, and the carafe pours without dripping, which is something a lot of coffee makers still can’t get right. It takes a basket style filter. For the price, I’m happy with it.
