  • Nice strings
Good sound overall

  • Made all the difference
The best $20 ever invested in my musical instruments! I put these strings on a early 90s Peavey Foundation bass with Super Ferrite pickups. I run it thru an MXR bass DI box right into my recording mixer, and now get the bright but punchy bass sound I've been looking for for my mix. So much cheaper than replacing my Peavey bass with a Music Man Stingray or a Rickenbacker. ... show more

  • Bright with punch
Put the on Ibanez SR400 and I really like the sound. They are bright with plenty of punch. Can't speak to longevity as they've only been on for a month or so. Good value for money

  • G string snapped immediately
I was looking forward to trying these, I saw them on YouTube and liked their sound. But, the G string snapped right when it was getting up to tune. Maybe I got a bad set, idk. Doesn’t instill confidence in the brand though. It’s a shame, because I do like the sound they give, maybe I’ll try them again at some point. ... show more

  • Nice strings, nice price.
Brighter than expected, these strings exceeded my expectations. Longevity is better than I expected as well. I will buy these again. ✌️ Out.

  • Best strings for my Jack Casady Signature Epiphone Bass
I have tried may sets of strings on the JC Signature and gone back and forth with flats vs rounds. I must have played Chromes for over three years and liked the mid-range growl you can get by digging in, but got tired of the high tension on the strings. I settled in to GHS pressure rounds and Elixers since i wanted the brightness of a round without the zingy upper register. On a whim I tried the RS66 and am so happy that I did. They are rounds but don't have a terribly bright character. They work well with the Varitone switch allowing for different tonal effects. The tension is less that a flat and the string noice seems low for a round. They are a little rough on the fingers compared to pressure rounds but more comfortable compared to other rounds I have tried. I can't say anything about durability as they have only been on around a week. But at this price point, I'm not hesitant to buy a new set when needed. ... show more
