Surprisingly high quality. The rim is very heavy and has good springs to it. I don’t love the foam back, because it makes the whole thing not sit flush on a door or wall.

Assembly was simple. The directions are easy to understand and follow. It didn't take long to put together... at all. The backboard feels solid. It is made of poly plastic material. When a ball hits it, it doesn't shake too much. It stays pretty still. The metal parts seem strong. The hoop is all metal which is awesome! It stays on well. It has not fallen off during play. The way it hooks onto the door seems secure. It fits over the door without needing extra tools. A small rubber basketball was used with it. It works well with this size ball. A regular sized basketball might be too big or heavy. The hoop is smaller, so a smaller ball is better. The net is made of rope. It seems like it will last a long time. It doesn't tear easily. It stays attached to the hoop without coming loose. The hoop itself feels strong. It doesn't bend when a ball goes through it. It looks like it can handle being used a lot. Pros: Easy to put together Stays on the door Doesn’t wobble much Seems durable Cons: Best with a small ball (like the one it comes with) Smaller size... which might be a pro for some ... show more

Awesome basketball hoop! I got this for my classroom to replace our little plastic one, and this is definitely an upgrade! It’s heavy duty, I swear you could probably dunk on this thing. If I get the Ok from the boss, I’ll be putting this bad boy up, so we can start earning some bonus point shots.

As a fan of basketball, I've always enjoyed just shooting the ball around, to amuse myself. I'm not trying to make the practice squad in the NBA or anything...just always looking for a spot to get some reps in. Mostly for exercise. But just around the house and all, it doesn't hurt to have an outlet there, too. So for a Mancave, or a sporty Girlcave setup you want something like this around to add to the ambiance of the room. This Amazon Basics Mini Basketball hoop is first of all, very solidly made. I was surprised at how well-built the thing was. It comes with a little basketball and an air pump to get it ready. It does require a decent amount of assembly required - you'll need to mount the hoop, thread the net and cinch it up...also you'll need to screw in the door mounts. You could also just drill holes in a bedroom wall, and mount it directly to a wall instead of hanging it on a bedroom door, but that's up to your judgment to call. I was able to throw this thing together in like 20 minutes, and off I went to test it out. The thing plays surprisingly well for what ultimately is a kid's toy. But adults can have fun with this thing as well. So that's really how I feel about this item. It is a kid's plaything - sure - but a "kid at heart" can also benefit from it. It's really well built for a kid's toy as well...almost doesn't feel like a toy really. I did receive this item at no cost, but I review items sincerely and give my honest opinions on every review I post. This thing surprised me with its quality, and for an Amusement room or a kid's bedroom, this thing is hard to beat for entertainment value. Very happy with this item for sure. 5 stars! ... show more
