My 8mm natural aquamarine rounds arrived today. I was relieved that the color was decent because other buyers made mixed reviews on this aspect. For the price I absolutely cannot complain. They are genuine aquamarine with enough blue that I will be able to pull several pairs worthy to be earring features. The size is true and the polish is excellent. However, I am almost always disappointed with the difference in how aquamarine looks in person when compared to the listing photos. This case is no different. The glow of the stones ALWAYS makes the photos better than the real thing. And that rules applies to the pieces I make with aquamarine. This strand has VERY LITTLE chatoyancy or internal sparkle. And a high percentage of the stones are white and will have to be made into bargin bin/clearance items. But overall, for the dirt cheap price I am fine with the transaction. I have included photos, but remember…. AQUAMARINE ALWAYS PHOTOGRAPHS BETTER THAN THEY ARE. Keeping this in mind will lessen the disappointment factor. Last word…. These have a nice weighty feel and the less blue beads will function well in variety stone bracelets.
