I installed the lock on my interior garage door as soon as it arrived. I took a chance and used the Amazon brand since the price was affordable. My other Electronic locks are Kwikset. There weren't any real instructions for instillation, but since I had replaced 3 other locks already, I had a general idea. The programming instructions were easy to follow and I had the lock working in less than 30 minutes. It was the late afternoon and the lock was working. The next morning, I noticed that the interior garage lock wasn't engaged, which was weird. I check the manual lock and found it working. Then I tried to engage the electronic mechanism. The numbers lit up, but the lock button wouldn't. I tried several times without success, I tried replacing the batteries, nothing. I tried pressing the reset programming button and still didn't have any luck. I couldn't lock the door electronically and I couldn't unlock it electronically. I expected this problem with my exterior locks, but those are working fine (even in the heat of summer) The Amazon Lock was on an interior door. Didn't want to deal with it so I uninstalled it and returned it. Return was easy. I gave it two stars instead of one because maybe it was just my lock that was a random bad product and i was unlucky. If you haven't the general knowledge of installing electronic locks, this product doesn't really explain unless you watch a video, so it might frustrate some buyers. Update: I have been locked out of my house more times than I can count. And have resorted to climbing in the window. I’m very frustrated with this lock and have ordered a replacement. Fingers crossed because things could not get any worse with this lock. This thing either doesn’t lock at all or locks with no way in. This lock was a great upgrade and looks really nice for my front door. It was fairly easy to install and add codes to. Occasionally we have had an issue with it not locking , but we are still figuring it out. ... show more

Easy to install and to use. Had two of these and they both failed after 30 days of use. Not for multiple uses per day. The motor that drives the locking lever is the weak link.
