I am a professional automotive repair technician. I use this tool on many different vehicles. From Ford Taurus to E.450 Ford ambulance ball joints. The tool works as should and I like it. The instructions are hard to read and only give you a vague description on how to do ball joints so prior knowledge is definitely useful. Someone I work with said the C-Press is an OTC knock-off. That would actually be a good thing since the OTC press is a really good one and doesn't stretch or bend like the cheap ones do. I would recommend this to a friend. If I have any issues I will update my review. The adapters all work great and are of good quality. The case is nice with the names of all the adapters molded into the case.

This tool is beefy. I’ve only used it once to install a lower ball joint, but I think it is a no nonsense, heavy duty tool. I rate it a 5 just based on that first use. Don’t waste your time and money on the cheaper ball joint tools. Spend a little more and get something that does the job.

Durable and with plenty of adapters, this kit is what I needed. I used to work on cars for a living back in 1997-1999 and we had one similar to this but I don't remember the brand. Now I work on cars for a hobby and to help friends so I needed a good kit with as many adapters as I could find for a 'hobby' price. For true professionals, you may want to look at the Snap On kit that covers 96% of all cars BUT is over $500. I wanted durability plus value. I shopped for two weeks doing research and this kit was my choice. Thankfully it was a good one. Here's a bonus for you readers: I also own the Harbor Freight 66829 Front Wheel Bearing Kit. Some of the adapters can be used with this kit, giving you more complete coverage of vehicles you may work on. I did NOT buy the Harbor Freight brand ball joint kit for a reason. The type of pressure you are going to put on this tool requires superior materials and craftsmanship so go with the Alltrade.

...that I used to change all four main ball joints on a Land Rover Discovery 2. I needed to modify the slim hat and the medium cup with a burr set ($10) but my view is that this is a high quality good value set.

The tool set looks solid and reliable, but as soon as I needed it to work I found issues with it. I needed it to replace the front suspension ball joints on my Ford SUV. When I got the vehicle all torn apart and tried to remove the lower ball joint on one side, every time I used the fitting that was suppose to work, it would flex open and shift, forcing that fitting open further and slipping off the lower control arm. I had to resort to my trusty hammer (which I was trying to avoid) to initially break it loose. Then I was able to use the tool to finish removing the ball joint. I gave it three stars because I only experienced that issue on that one side, the rest of the time it worked fine.
