Disclaimer, I have not yet driven with it carrying my bike. This review is based solely on first impression and installation. I al confident it will work as advertised. To begin, I'm still a little confused as to why this rack's price difference between the black and the green is $13. I didn't see anything different in the product images. Nevertheless, it looks sturdy and well built. It fit my 2022 Toyota Camry. The reviews and instructions said the height could be adjusted to not cover the license plate but I played around with the straps and the design just didn't fully fit on the top or the bottom of the plate, so as u can see on the first image, it was right through the middle. The top and bottom hooks were okay, but the design of my car's truck made it difficult to have a straight side hook. As you can see, it is moved to the edge near the lights. It doesn't look like it will move, so that's okay. One thing I didn't really like is that it says that it's for two bikes. I'm afraid that's not the case for my vehicle type. When I mounted my bike on the first clamps, the pedal was resting on the back of the trunk. And the bike was slightly slanted. I played again with the straps, but it may just be the design of the vehicle that doesn't allow for much room. Therefore you see my bike on the outer clamps, with still barely 3 inches of space between the pedal and the trunk. I'm thinking I may have to strap the pedal to the rack handle to make sure that if/when the bike swings during driving that it doesn't scratch the car. Other than this, I'm happy with the rack. The foams are strong and don't cause any issues against the car. Straps are extra long so I can see how it can stretch on wider vehicles. The rack felt balanced when the bike was on it and once's strapped it felt pretty secured. I am still not sure how it could fit two bikes, but I'll be just using it for mine. Love that it's compact and folds neatly to keep in the trunk! Do pay attention when fitting the metal rod to the arms, it will pinch your finger if you are not careful! Easy to use and pretty stable, holds 2 bikes comfortably. If you're not careful with placement, the bike pedals can scratch your car. Only hard part in setup was bending two metal rods to put into some holes, but if you're strong enough to lift a bike onto the rack, you'll probably be strong enough to bend the rods. ... show more

This bike rack seems sturdy enough for a beach cruiser. However I don’t think 2 bikes can be mounted without scratching your vehicle. I tore up a microfiber cloth and used it underneath the metal hooks that latch to trunk to avoid scratches on car paint! Overall seems to be of good quality!

The two things that makes this bike rack more secure vs. the one I used before are: 1) An elastic strip on the bottom strap than ensures that the bottom strap stays tight even through bumpy road surface. This little elastic strip made a big difference in the stability and security of all the other straps. 2) The end caps where the bikes are mounted had a through nut and bolt assembled to ensure that the end cap doesn’t come off. I have had the end cap come off with my prior bike rack the caused damage to the bike as it almost fell off. Luckily I noticed it immediately and the end cap was the culprit. Caught this on sale for $20 and it's been amazing. Easy to install and the straps are extra long. The extra long straps allow me to tie the wheels on my bike in place so they do move or scuff my car while driving. Highly recommend!

Purchased 6 months ago and finally got the bike rack out for use next week. Was surprised with how well thought out the folding for shipping was with disposable caps on the support arms to prevent scratching. Very little assembly needed but a bit of strength used to pull the support arms into place. Great instructions in proper English. Well made particularly for the low cost. Have had several bike racks over the years, and this is finished as well or better than any of them. While I only will be using it for a single bike I would caution anyone putting 2 on, to remove the pedal closed to the vehicle to prevent damage to the paint. And don't forget to take the wrench with you to put the pedal back on when you get to your destination. On a Dodge Charger carrying only 1 bike, this isn't an issue when using the most rearward position as the pedals don't hit. ... show more

Priced very reasonable. Secures well to my 2001 Toyota Camry. I only use it for short hauls. One negative is the metal hooks that attach it to your car could scratch the paint. I use it on an older car which makes this a nonissue. So this is a good option if your vehicle won't accommodate a hitch rack and you want a price friendly option. I’m very pleased with this rack. It’s very easy to use, sets up quickly and works great! I didn’t give it 5 stars only because I’m not sure it could handle 2 large bikes.
