I bought this so I could make quick trips to the cross country trails instead of bolting in my heavy Thule carrier. This was easy to put together and holds my bike well. I also still have full access to the rear storage in my jeep. I will still use the hitch mount Thule carrier for long trips or several bikes but this folds flat and installs quickly for local rides so it’s my daily go to now. It is working well so far. I took it on a 100 mile drive and the straps were getting loose. I am going to add a tiedown strap to make me feel safe.

I will admit it took me a second to put it together but I mean barely. It was super easy to put on and I leave my back on the rack and just take it off with the rack when I’m not using it and it goes right back on with the bike just as easy. Definitely a great inexpensive Jeep mod! I recommend buying one of these before any of the more expensive or trailer hitch models. ... show more

Upon purchasing this product, I realize there’s a design flaw, which makes the product collapse without notice upon bouncing down, uneven roads the pressure rides that hold the device at a 45° angle, attaches to the tire spontaneous release upon bouncing with the weight of the bikes, causing it to collapse and the bikes to fall into the street this is not only dangerous. It destroys the bikes up upon addressing this with the company after it happened to me twice they told me it was my fault. There was nothing they could do they won’t offer me a refund or replacement. They simply won’t even accept the fact that they have any liability my fear is it a bikes gonna fall off on the highway and kill somebody I’ve already discovered that there are literally doesn’t and dozens of people saying the same exact thing I don’t know why, the president of this company is not held accountable and I’m certain that somebody has traumatic experiences with This problem is beyond me that they would sweep it under the rug. Literally, I feel like this is going to Kill someone by creating a car accident when the bikes fall off on the highway, which there are several accounts of this happening in real life, I would buy this product off the market ... show more

Seems very sturdy. I’m not sure the clamps fit well under the back bumper. I think going over a bump would snap them off. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK so I’m not sure if the newer Jeeps (JL) have a thinner bumper but mine seems too thick and don’t trust the clamps to not snap off going over a bump. So instead I put the straps under the tire and under the back doors bottom edge and it works perfectly, very secure. Think it’ll be great for short distance trips to bike trails near my house, which is what I need it for. ... show more

Easy to put together but does NOT work on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The top arms do not fit well over the rear tire so could come off while driving.
