I cook daily and have done so for 40+ years and I own a LOT of cookware - All Clad copper core and aluminum non-stick pans, All Clad D3 & D5, Hestan nano and pro bond, Falk, CIA and Mauviel brushed copper. They each have their own specific uses in my kitchen. I wanted a larger steamer/pasta cooker with a pot for general use and saw this set on sale. When it arrived, I was surprised by the weight, build quality and kitchen performance. This is NOT high end All Clad and it's certainly not Hestan or Falk but it sure performs well for steaming seafood, momos, ribs and a wide variety of veggies - it works great. The price is dumb but the pot is very well made. I use this pot a lot, and not just to make stock. I like how high the sides are when I make spaghetti sauce, because the sauce splatters while simmering. This is an overall great piece of cookware that I'm happy I have.

We enjoy this new pot for making our pasta. Water boils faster than our old pot and lifting the pasta out without lifting a boiling hot pot full of water is much safer.

I bought this set to replace an almost identical aluminum set. We replaced our dead range and upgraded to an induction range. Unfortunately, the induction cook top doesn't work with aluminum pans. It only recognizes copper or stainless steel. This pot works great on the new range--steamed vegetables in the small top and cooked corn on the cob in the water underneath and both were perfect. I have used it numerous times with equal success. It is not a heavy/sturdy as my Kirkland (Costco brand) stainless steel cookware, which is a surprise for the All-Clad name. However, I am disappointed to find the terrible discoloration on the inside of the lid! I thought stainless steel meant it wouldn't discolor—not so! The lid has a wonderful, mirror-like shine on the handle side of the lid, but the back of it looks like it is very old. It is impossible to clean back to its original shiny color! Maybe this is a minor issue since it doesn't affect the pot functionality, but it is disappointing that the mirror finish is not duplicated on both sides of the lid. In my honest review, I needed to include this information. Other than the lid, I love this pot and how well it cooks my vegetables. For the price and the All-Clad name, I expected a better performing finish on the lid. I may write to the company to ask about this discoloration and will update this review if there is anything to report. ... show more

Solid, quality construction. Despite being made in China, you can tell that this will last a lifetime, and be passed down for generations to come. Handles are solidly attached. Lids fit snugly like a glove. Nothing flimsy about these. If you take the time to learn how to properly use stainless steel, you'll not have any problems with food sticking, either. Spend the money now, one time, and avoid the ever increasing cost of buying lesser, inferior products again and again every few years. I am so pleased & impressed with All-Clad! After 30 years of cooking with cheap no name brands and routinely replacing them, I decided to splurge on those really expensive All-Clad. I started with one used braiser and was in love!!!!! I decided to replace the pots and pans that I used most often with All-Clad. At the price point it may take about a year or two but it’s worth it!!! This pot is 3 in one. Best way ever to make pasta or some amazing soups and sauces in the stock pot. I am one happy home chef!!!!!! And the pots look so good I routinely leave one or two on my kitchen stove. This set is beautiful, sturdy, and versatile. You won’t be disappointed! ... show more
