this worked for me within 2 minutes. you plug it in, you may have to hold the button down to go into pairing mode. you say alexa discover new devices and wait till she finds it. (within 1 minute) i renamed it right on my alexa show. using it for my outdoor string lights to be alexa enabled hands down the best smart plug ive tried. IVE HAD SEVERAL. This one doesnt require another app or a 2.5 ghz wifi like 90% of them

Our home wifi is 5g, so it's hard to find affordable plugs that will work with it. These work on Bluetooth and I hoped they would work well enough for me. I love addding things to my smart home, and use alexa to control them. I have all four plugs in the same room (livingroom) as my echo show that I used to connect them. It was nice being able to use my echo or other alexa devices to control the plugs and I used them every day. I like to turn stuff on and off with voice. Some things are on schedules. The problem is, these plugs constantly lose connection. I have to go press the button on the plugs and sometime go through the setup again. It happened so frequently that it's gotten to where I stopped using them. It was nice being able to turn my Christmas decorations or grow lights on and off with the plugs (i use them for different things depending on the season) , but it lost connection so frequently I got frustrated. I had to buy different wifi compatible plugs for the important things like the heat lamp for my tortoise because i could not count on these plugs to stay connected and turn on and off when I need them to. They are a good affordable option if you don't mind constantly fixing connection issues and if you don't have pet or other important things connected to them.

I really like them. I was able to configure them without any problems. I have one in my electric thermos and I set the on and off times on Alexa and it works great. The other is in a lamp that I can turn off/on remotely using the app and Alexa.

Setup was remarkably easy on first one. Or so it seemed. Alexa said there was no such plug even though showed up on device list. Second plug did not show up on device list. Had to start over. Got to to work however not without more issues. Alexa said there were two plugs with that name and proceeded to control neither. After 1 day both are working. time will tell if they were a good purchase. Some of reviews mention plugs not working. I hope these last longer than a few days as described bu some buyers. I don’t think I will purchase again. Kind of flaky to setup. Their are other brands that have none of these issue. Can’t recommend this nameless, brandless device. It’s not on the setup list in the Alexa app. That should be enough of warning.
