  • TINY BUT STURDY I LOVE IT!!!
I love this cage and I will buy again. This cage is very small for small animals like my tiny chicks. So, it was perfect for me, and it is super sturdy made to last. I have the tiny Japanese Bantam Breed of chicken. ((Compare to this other one. See link below DO NOT BUY THE ONE BELOW very cheaply made https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FN3ZVTY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bought this one. Size is way better but, it's so badly made everything is fallowing apart not sturdy at all. Roof wood bent and very wobbly. )) ... show more

  • Not for standard size chickens.
Easy to assemble. I use for one rescue chicken who can’t go in with the flock. It is not big enough for 2. I added a base to it to give more headroom because my chicken could not stand all the way up. Seems sturdy enough to last for a few years.

  • A happy home for my 'little piggies'.
The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 of these for our little guinea pigs. You can hook them together but I chose to leave them separate, one for our males and one for our females. I cannot stress just how much they love their new homes. These cages are lightweight enough for me to pick up and move around our yard as our little piggies manage to have the grass ate down in just a matter of hours and we have to find a spot with more grass. I only wish the wood of these cages were more sturdy. The ladder part they climb on to get to the top part of their house has already broke after only a few weeks. I had to get my son to reinforce the part that broke with better quality wood. All in all, my little piggies are happy. ... show more

  • A basic hen house better for bunnies.
This is a very basic hen house. The assembling is easy but at one point they stopped providing pre-drilled holes and it got a little confusing when it came to putting on the roof because of this. There is a little cross part that supports the roof but there's no markings on exactly where it should be so I had to take it off and reattach it more than once to get it just right so the roof would fit. Unfortunately, the gap between the brooding area and the track down is very very small and negatively impacted by where this little cross piece has to go so a large chicken might not fit through that. You also can't lock it up so there'd be no way to keep the chicken in the nesting area it would still have access to the rest of the coop even if you need to lock them up at night. There are other parts of this that are very weak and I could see a predator breaking into it extremely easy. So if you want to use this for chickens you will have to put additional fencing around the entire setup if you want to keep predators out of it. It's also smaller than I expected. I knew it would not be a big coop but I didn't realize just how close to the end of it the ramp would be so I will have to add space to it so the chickens will have more more area to walk around. The tray is also poor it it slides in but it's almost too tight to add a whole lot of bedding to it also there are no roosts bars inside this coop so one has to be added which again cuts back on available space for the chickens. I bought two of them to put together for the combo where I have the hen house at each ends. Putting these two together is a exercise in frustration- they don't fit together easily. I recommend you put it together on a sidewalk a flat sidewalk because if you have any variance in the yard even a quarter inch it will not connect peefectly thus making it very difficult to attach them. I finally got so pissed off that I took nails and hammered the two sections together with nails just to hold it. This would be a better hutch for a bunny rabbit. I do not recommend it for chickens even small bantams or capons. ... show more

  • BUYER BEWARE!
Ww purchased this item to accommodate 2 ducks. Because it was labeled to accommodate 2 chickens, we thought it would work. Boy, were we wrong! The opening could scarcely accommodate a Bantam much less a duck! Unfortunately, the return shipping costs (which happens to be China) are not covered. So buyer beware, you’d better be sure about your purchase. Otherwise, you’ll be spending an additional $957.00 to send it back. It’s a cute house but a pricey one. ... show more

  • Not intended for large breeds.
The coop is amazing for the size! It’s small and compact. It’s great for quail! Or small chicken breeds would probably even work great for pigeons and some Partridges! The pull out tray is great for quick and easy cleaning! My only complaint is that the wire gauge could be much bigger that’s why I only gave it 4 stars for sturdiness. I would recommend putting this coop some where safe from dogs or predators. Other than that it’s worth the buy! I bought two for my quails. ... show more

  • It was well packaged with all the parts and screws.
I liked the light gray paint, unlike some kits that arrive unpainted. The instructions where easy to follow. We use it for two chickens that give us 2 or 3 eggs daily. We don't need to buy any eggs now, and they are so much flavorful and fresh. I may need a math teacher to help see when the coop will pay for it's self, but we are very pleased. We are a two person household, so our chickens serve us well, plus they are a great bug control 24/7. We only kept the chickens locked in the coop for 4 days, to learn it was their home. They return to the coop around dusk so we always leave the main door open. ... show more
