What an awesome product at an unbelievable price. Came in two boxes with great directions with many visual descriptions. The drawings, fasteners, brief instructions are all well organized to clearly lead then reader to a successful desired, conclusion at an unexpectedly perfect " first time " assembly. The price cannot be touched by any other company. My wife and I purchased two of these for our new flock of 8 chickens and she is astonished as the speed of assembly and quality of the final product. I will add, I did use liberal amounts of caulking to increase strength, sealing and longevity. I added a much more robust screen protection against the wild critters we have around our home. Have applied new red and white paint to inside and outside for added strength and protection agains the elements. Our friends are going nuts, similar coops, not really close are selling for $450.00 near us, and I am simply amazed they are getting products sold. Like the coop. Took a few days for the chickens to get used to it, but they are very comfortable with it now. Lots of room for them to nest and relax upstairs. Very easy to assemble. Sturdy.

This is the best, most secure (if you set it up right) coop we’ve ever owned. I had 2-3 previously from TSC, they all either broke or rotted pretty quickly, and were not secure. Tip: Keep it off the ground (use chicken wire under so nothing can get under) so bottom doesn’t rot. The soil will rot the wood at the bottom if you don't, exposing opportunities for prey. Comfortably houses 8 chickens nightly. Easy to clean, nothing has faded or broken, even the latches still have gold finish. No leaks and it still looks fantastic for as much abuse as it’s taken. It’s protected my girls from a forest next door; there have been several failed attempts by foxes, possums, skunks, and raccoons (just what I’ve seen) to kill them. This is a well designed and secure coop. My girls don’t care for the “runner” attachment per se, but they love to stand on it, and you would about have to build steps to get them up to the door otherwise. The only time I’ve ever seen them inside of it was when a hawk was close, so it’s handy if you’re local to birds of prey. ... show more

This is my first go with chickens and I found this coup to be ready to build. All the pieces were there. There was 2 side pieces that were cracked, but rather than returning, we just glued it back and seems to be secure!

I was nervous about ordering this coop but was pleasantly surprised! The wood is thin and there are MANY pieces but the overall assembly took about 45 minutes with my husband and I. This is a wonderful coop for our small neighborhood yard. I do not think it would work if you have to worry about predators. The coop would not stop a large or crafty animal from getting to your chickens. With that being said, it has held up well through storms and keeps our space looking clean and well kept. The directions are good, easy to put together, decent quality for the price. My chicks are about two months old and two days in they haven’t figured out how to get upstairs yet, but I am hopeful they will soon.
