I am using this to clean light debris out koi ponds and works fantastic. This would work on just surface skimming of pools using it gently, if you would start to immerse it and drag it along, no doubt in short time it will bend or break. I am happy with just using it to skim the pond as that's what I purchased it for.

This is a short skimmer and a little flimsy. For our 10' above ground pool it does the trick.

This is very cheaply made. The pool net is very flimsy and bends every time it touches the water. I did give it 3 stars because the pole is very long and I do not have to be inside the pool to clean it. It does get the job done but it’s just not very sturdy.
