Easy installation, Perfect fit replacement. Bought this bluetooth for the convenience of being in bed and controlling from phone vs having to get up and adjusting temp manually. Primary reason I decided to replace is that I am using RV for work for a short time and didn’t want my a/c running all day. I could’ve installed a thermostat on wall but didn’t want to bother with all that. I looked up videos of installing and it only took me like 15 mins top. Not too difficult to install except the flexible plastic duct is hard to secure once the product is in place. The function is great except I can’t get blue tooth to connect at all. The install directions are not great. A YouTube video is much better for installing this product.

The compressor relay overheated and caused its power wire to burn through it's insulation and short off of a neutral inside the control box. Airxcel warranty for aftermarket parts is 1 year. The technical advisor was helpful with information, but he could not warranty the part. It's a shame because it is expensive, and they don't sell just the control box to the public, so they know they have you over a barrel. I found the part locally at State Trailer in Mesa AZ for 50 bucks cheaper than Amazon and I'm stock. When the condenser dies on this unit, we won't buy another Coleman Mach product again. ... show more

    • Really easy upgrade if you are handy at all

UPDATE - After several trips and some really hot weather, I'm still very happy with this unit. I may still move the thermostat outside the housing, but it is working fairly well with it in the intended location. My only (small) complaint is that it waits longer than I think it should to turn the AC back on so it gets a little warmer than I'd like right before it kicks on. It not a big deal though. As several people have reported, it does occasionally lose the bluetooth connection, but I have found a simple phone restart fixes that. Not a big deal in exchange for the convenience of being able to control the AC from my phone! Original Review - I had intended to have my RV Service place add a controller and wall thermostat, but after waiting several months for the parts to come in I canceled the order and got this from Amazon in a few days. Due to work I only had a short time to work on it each day, but over the course of 3 days I probably spent 3 hours total. Most of the work I did by myself (60+F), but I did need some help holding a light to get the controller box up inside and also to hold the inside cover up while I made the final connections and got the screws started. You could probably do it yourself if you had to. Nothing complicated, just look it up on YouTube and watch all of the videos since each one shows you some different angles and situations (like what to do if your main wire is too short). Connected right up to my phone and is working great so far. It hasn't been really hot yet, so not sure if I will have to move the thermostat sensor ot not. I installed it as shown for now and will see if I need to move it or not. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the Freeze Sensor was missing from the box. I contacted Amazon as suggested and they had no idea what I was talking about, so I contacted the Manufacturer who overnighted it to me immediately. Great service, but I feel like this could be a huge problem for someone not experienced with RV AC units especially since the instructions do not have an illustration of the parts in the box (just a list) the diagrams that are in the instructions are pretty much useless. ... show more

I felt bad for our Ac always running and running or off. Either ran all night and froze our butts off or it would just be to hot to sleep. So bought this hoping it would fix our problems. Was quoted 300 for install but I wantched a few videos on youtube and did it my self easy peasy just follow what they do. Ran it all weekend and loved it!!! The Bluetooth is sweet too and can do it by just laying in bed. I sure hope it last for a long time and will tell everyone I know to purchase it if they have manual controls ... show more

The unit works fine. I can manually control my air-conditioner with the controls on the unit. It actually shuts off and doesn't run all the time. This is fantastic. The problem is the Bluetooth is terrible. The application that you have to download is horrible. First the app is as generic as you can get and 2 it doesn't work. It doesn't stay connected so it becomes useless. I don't understand why Coleman doesn't fix this. So manually the unit is great. If you are wanting to use the Bluetooth feature well good luck.
