Features

  • Food composters transform food scraps and kitchen waste into powder by drying it out and grinding it up. You can use this powder as fertilizer for your plants or throw it away to reduce the volume and odor of your trash.
  • More Reliable Blades: Our SHARKSDEN Trinity Blade are as sharp as a shark's teeth. With a blender that pushes food waste into the blades, it can crush large volumes of food from multiple directions.
  • Easy To Use and Clean: With a 2.5 liter capacity and one-button operation, you can compost several different types of waste at the same time with the simple press of a button. The bucket is made of cast aluminum, which is easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
  • Eliminate Garbage Odors: Instead of putting food scraps in the trash, dry them in a food composter to prevent the garbage smell from taking over your home. The odor-reducing biodegradable carbon filters help prevent smells in between composting cycles.
  • Quick Run Time: Collect food waste in the bucket throughout the day then turn on the machine before going to bed. After 4 hours your food scraps will be ground up and dried into powder so you can empty it out in the morning.

  • So far, so good. Does as advertised
Color: White
I began looking into Electric composters over a year ago. I did quite a bit of research to find out about the finished product and how it could be used. Please note: These machines do not give you a finished compost. Compost relies on microbes to break down organic material and turn it into fertilizer for plants. The drying process in these machines kills all of those microbes, so the dried material needs to be broken down in soil, or an outdoor compost pile for a few weeks before it can be used as plant food. This deters many people from buying one of these. They are expensive and depending on where you live, you may be able to do an outdoor compost pile instead. I purchased this even though I have an outdoor compost pile. I live in Michigan, so my compost pile slows down significantly for half of the year. It is difficult to turn and maintain over the winter. In the past I would throw my vegetable scraps away over the winter because I couldn't put them in my compost pile. I also have three young children that tend to leave more food waste on their plates. I hate the idea of this all going in the garbage, where it will not break down. I have been able to add meat, bread, citrus fruits, and dairy products to his dehydrator without any problem. I love that I can scrape left over spaghetti or casserole into it without worry. When the cycle finishes, I pour it into my compost bucket. It is much easier to fit two cups of dried material to my compost pile then 2 quarts of chopped up vegetable scraps. I have run about six cycles over the last 3 weeks. I have noticed very little smell unless I am right next to the unit. It has never smelled bad, but it does have the sweet smell of a compost pile. So far the unit has been easy to clean. It is no louder than an air purifier or small fan. I keep it in my kitchen on the counter and run it at night. It does take up a bit of counter space, but no more than a toaster oven. The unit comes with two filters. One is a replacement. It is suggested that the filter be changed every 6 months. Based on the cost of filters and approximate electricity use, I guess it will cost about $50 a year to maintain the unit. I will use it much less in the summer when my compost pile is up and running outside. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase so far. ... show more

  • It works great!
Color: White
I love this composter! I have used it three times so far and it's worked really well all three times. I keep it in the garage but even so it is relatively quiet. The smell is not bad at all. In fact it's pretty good, usually smelling of orange peels and herbal teas. I have included pictures to show the process from beginning to end. My bowl of kitchen scraps, the empty composter, the composter filled with the kitchen scraps, the machine itself which is about the size of the large bread maker, the end results still in the bucket and then the mulch on a plate. I do not put dairy of any kind in it nor any animal products such as chicken bones. The bucket cleans very easily. Following the advice of a previous reviewer I use a paintbrush to initially brush all of the mulch out of the bucket and then I gently wash the bucket with soap and water. I keep the machine unplugged and covered when I am not using it. I wish I would've had one of these years ago! ... show more

  • Works great, easy to use
Color: Gray
Here is California we are strongly encouraged to bag up our food scraps and put them in the green waste bin for composting if you’re not composting at home. I did and the smell was pretty bad. Now this doesn’t make complete compost, but it dries and grinds to an almost completely odorless, dry “powder” (mulch like texture). This machine is powerful, I filled it with all the bones from two chickens. It did its job well, but was pretty stinky, don’t be like me. Mix in some other stuff. Any other time odor is not an issue. Now I put the dried matter into a bag, put it under the sink till it’s full, and drop it in the green can. It’s perfect ... show more

  • Great except for oders
Color: Gray
Well built (IMO). Really pleased with the resulting compost. However, my daughter would not tolerate the odors. For example, oven-baked cat food. It was borderline for me, but unacceptable for her. I suggest you strongly consider this. I was amazed at how odors can penetrate throughout a house. I live in split entry 70's house. We started out putting it in the main kitchen upstairs. Then moved it to the laundry room downstairs. Then moved it to the garage. Still the odors permeated the whole house. Sad. I like it, except for the odors. I am going to return it. :( ... show more

  • a great easy to use product
Color: Gray
Airthereal Electric kitchen composter provide me more than what I can expect. It is a pretty happy user experience. The product is very solid, good size, looks reliable, totally different from the one that I used to process the leftover food - a blender. I pulled the stuff - a bowl of snacks and a box of kumquat into the bucket, taking up half of the space. I closed the lid and pressed the button, then left it to run. After a couple of hours, I came to check. When I opened the lid, the compost was done - looked dry, granular, pretty even, like dry fertilizer, nice brown color and no smell. I am really happy with the turnout and how easy it is to use, only one button, everything is done automatically. I feel this is a functional, powerful tool for making compost, from now on my kitchen leftovers will be recycled properly to become food for my plants. This is great! If you are looking for an easy, reliable composter like me, I strongly recommend Airthereal Electric kitchen composter. ... show more

  • Expensive and felt cheaply made
Color: Gray
The compost was made within 2-3 hours. Worked great! Although, the inside did start scuffing and the description said it wouldn’t. I didn’t want particles of the inside in my compost. Also, did leave a slight smell from whatever you put inside. It was good while it lasted but I returned my order.
