WOW this thing is helpful. Does a fantastic job at exactly what it’s supposed to do — vacuum a pool. This is my first robotic pool cleaner so I was a little iffy about the idea of an electronic device being submerged in the water but I was like, I’m sure they know what they’re doing, I’m just being paranoid. And boy was I ever. This thing works just like an underwater Roomba, but somehow even better. My ONLY complaint is that it would be nice to have something to get it back from the pool bottom after it’s done vacuuming — that seems like something that is an issue with all pool cleaners, though, as I can’t imagine it’s an easy thing to figure out. Easy for me, personally, I just get in and grab it, I don’t clean the pool when I’m tight on time and need to be somewhere, but I’m sure other people do so a way to retrieve it easily would be helpful. But I’m sure people with more experience than me have figured this whole thing out and have easier ways of doing it, so I won’t take a star off due to my lack of experience. Very pleased with this product.

I’ve owned a few pool cleaning robots over the years, but the Scuba X1 has easily become my favorite. The 6600 GPH suction is no joke—it picks up fine sand, pebbles, and debris that my old cleaner always missed. The dual jets make cleaning noticeably faster, and I love how it keeps constant contact with the waterline, scrubbing away grease and buildup without any effort from me. The battery life is impressive too. I get longer cleaning sessions even on my sloped pool floor, and it never seems to lose power halfway through. The adaptive navigation system is really smart—it moves in a precise cross pattern and doesn’t get stuck or miss corners like cheaper models tend to do. The multi-layer filtration system is another big win—it catches even the tiniest particles, leaving the water sparkling clean. And the wireless charging dock is super convenient—just drop it on and walk away. I also like the 4+1 cleaning modes, especially the Scheduled Cleaning option, which keeps my pool spotless without me having to think about it. Overall, the Scuba X1 is powerful, efficient, and thoughtfully designed. If you want a high-performance robotic cleaner that actually does what it promises, this is the one to get!

In the past couple of years, Aiper has become one of the marquee brands in the pool cleaning business. They have products at every price point but I've been particularly impressed with their top of the line offerings which now rank among the best available. The company delivers a lot of performance at a reasonable price point and that's definitely the case here with the Scuba X1 cordless robotic pool cleaner. The X1 does suffer somewhat by comparison to it's 'stablemate' the top of the line X1 Pro Max. In reality, they're somewhat 'apples and oranges'. Sure, they have similarities but since the X1 is designed for pools up to 2150 square feet and the X1 Pro Max up to 3200 square feet they're clearly different products for different needs and use cases. I've used the X1 Pro Max daily for over six months now and consider it among the best pool robots available but if you have a smaller pool the X1 delivers tons of performance and cleaning power for a very reasonable price point. Compared to other products from other brands targeting pools of this size, the X1 comes off as extremely impressive. It has 4 motors, 16 sensors and delivers a 6600GPH of suction power. Battery life can go up to 180 minutes and it can recharge in four hours. Personally, I've always considered battery life to be an overrated feature. I'd rather have a product that can do a great job cleaning the pool in a shorter amount of time. The debris filtration is excellent and it takes care of even small particles like sand. The performance of the pool awareness algorithms is borderline amazing and while the X1 doesn't have the next-gen pool mapping capability of the X1 Pro Max it still does an impressive job adapting to the individual nuances of your pool. As with any pool robot, it's important to keep the app and firmware up to date for best performance. For a 2150 foot or smaller pool it's tough to do better than the X1 and particular at what is a very solid price point. It becomes even more impressive when you factor in the cost of the charging dock--included with the X1 but optional with many competing brands. A first rate product from one of the leaders in pool cleaning technology. Highly recommended!

I was really excited to try this over my other major brand robot. The biggest selling point was the extra fine mesh filter. Add in all the sensors and what not, and I thought this was going to be a home run. Boy was I disappointed. First, this thing is HEAVY. If you have an above ground pool, beware. Battery life is excellent, which I assume is part of the weight. The first run, I let it run on just floor and its default pattern. That was a bust. You could see that it missed huge areas. Turned to the "random" (cant remember what they call it) mode, and that was much better. I have no idea what the sensors do, but it seems like nothing. Its no "smarter" than my $500 machine. The microfilter is awesome for sure too. Overall, is it worth $1500? Nope. Not even close. If you get a good deal on it though, its decent. ***Update**** Aiper reached out and gave a bunch of info and addressed some of my concerns. They really do seem to want to take care of you. Part of the extra weight on this is the extra motor for increased suction. It really does "suck" so I can believe it does help. While the extra sensors did nothing to help me in my above ground pool, if you have a weird shaped in-ground, apparently, they are supposed to help a lot there. Still stick by most of my review, but adding a star back just because of the great customer service.
