I have used it once so far. I dropped it in the pool and retrieved a few hours later. There was plenty of debris in it. The problem is my pool isn't clear yet which made it difficult to find it. It did go to the wall like the directions said it would. Hubby was a hero and went into the cold, dirty water and retrieved it. I was unable to use the hook to pull it out as I could not see it. I have not used it again as my pool is still cloudy. Will try it again as soon as possible 🙂 Updating àfter 2nd use. I am really thrilled with this product. I turned it on and dropped it in the pool and watched it as it went right to work. My pool is clearer now. I can see the vacuum on the bottom. It did a diagonal. I peaked at it a few times while it worked. It was always moving along the bottom. 90 minutes later I retrieved it. The basket had plenty of debris even some sand. It's so much easier than my manual vacuum or my hose robot critter vacuum. I like that the debris doesn't go into my filter and I don't have to waste water. ... show more

We tried this product after we charged it completely yesterday!! We just installed an above ground pool rectangular shape with a flat surface... I watch machine move about 3 ft or 4ft then stop... Then go back to wall and stop ! Then move again about 5 ft Then stop , then go back! I got tired of watching it so I hoped for the best... When I can back in 2 hours it was done and it looked like it did nothing! So I charged it up again and placed back in my pool yesterday afternoon and still, it doesn't do the job like the advertising says!! So we are recommending our money back immediately and buying a better one that's atleast 4.5 stars!! I don't know how it received 3 stars at all.... You must charge it for 4 hours and it runs for only 1.5 hours!! What a waste of time! Don't bother buying this product and spend a little more money because you know what they say " you get what you pay for"! Totally disappointed and they customer service reps are horrible and full of sarcasm!! They try to make your process long to return the product and make you pay for shipping to return it! Save yourself stress and headache and don't bother with this product! You lead a horse 🐎 to water but you can't make him drink so if you decide to buy this product after reading my review then your going to get what you deserve! ... show more

It would work great for picking up leaves and such as the suction is great but it's kinda iffy for me. I'm personally thinking of returning it and getting a stick vacuum. It gets stuck every few seconds on the vinyl bottom of my pool where it creases. So I literally have to stand with it and keep hook on the pole to bump it forward for a bit. Plus it changes air flaps when stuck for a few seconds so it almost never gets the full pool. My intention of buying it was to set it in pool and let it clean bottom while I use my pole to clean floating stuff then when done pull it out so kids can get in. It also doesn't help that when I pull it up to come out it drops the stuff it just cleaned up right back into the pool. Some people say turning it off before pulling stops that but not for me. At this point I think I'd rather return it and use whatever stick vacuum I decide to get to do it myself so I know the whole pool is clean. When I opened this year I had dead algae that I broomed off filled an inch or 2 then drained and rinsed then refilled. Apparently not all the dead algae drained out because I see this vacuum kick it back up off the bottom when it goes in or out or changes direction. So it's not very helpful since that is currently what I need out. It may help more later in summer when the tree drops leaves in but then again so will the stick vacuum. Personally I wouldn't waste money on another robot one unless it comes with a GPS that you can set of the pool and see its track so I know it is covering every spot but that's just me. Might keep it and just never use it. Idk time will tell and if I can afford to just buy a stick or if I need the money from this purchase to buy a stick one. ... show more

Was hoping that this little guy would do the trick, but it doesn’t work well if your pool has an incline. Our pool has a slight incline on both sides toward the bottom, and the pool cleaner had a tough time with it. While it was able to climb up and reach the low points on the bottom of both sides, upon reversing and going back towards the deeper end, it gained too much speed causing it to “spin out” each time. It also will not climb walls or jump up and clean your stairs and steps (honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to do that given the price point but just something to keep in mind). Also note there is a video review posted here that indicates the box includes replacement brushes and wheels; I did not get either in my shipment. I contacted Aiper customer service via Amazon and they were super responsive and helpful. I was able to return my original item and their customer service agent was able to better match me with a product they offer that works much better for my pool (Aiper Scuba S1). I highly recommend this company as they stand behind their products and their customer service is excellent. ... show more
