I have a higher-end Dolphin Nautilus vacuum that I thought was great--this Aiper is better, and here’s why: First and foremost, setting up the Dolphin was always a chore. I had to plug in the charger, plug in the vacuum, untangle the cord, and try to remember not to trip on it as it was cleaning. The cord has already failed once, so it’s a risk going forward. The Aiper has none of that: no cord to trip over or fail, and after charging, I just throw it in the water. Second, the filter basket is bigger and easier to clean. My old vacuum’s filter had six parts that needed to be disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. It was kind of a pain. The Aiper has a single large basket that’s plenty big enough for a week’s worth of debris (and probably a lot more). Third is efficiency. My old vacuum roamed the floor and got stuck on stairs like a drunken sailor stumbling out of a bar. It got the job done, but not like the Aiper. The Aiper is methodical and calculating. Even in my kidney bean-shaped pool, it efficiently and systematically cleaned and then shut off, conserving power. I watched a time-lapse on my security cameras, and it did a really good job getting everything--and never once got stuck like my old vacuum. Fourth is simplicity. This vacuum has no app, and I love that. I’m always worried about buying expensive stuff that relies on an app. What happens if the app goes away or crashes? There’s no need for an app for this device. Just select the cleaning mode and chuck it in the pool. My old vacuum had an app with pretty much just an on/off button that I only used to re-clean when it failed the first time. I’m happy this Aiper is app-free! Fifth is convenience. I travel a lot, and one of the things I dread the most is coming home to a pool that’s a complete mess. The Aiper has an eco mode that cleans every 48 hours until it runs out of battery. It can easily last a week or more. That means I just need someone to charge it and dump out the basket once a week while I’m gone. That’s way easier than teaching someone how to disassemble and clean the old vacuum. Anyone can maintain the Aiper. Honestly, I love this vacuum. My biggest worry is that anything that lives in water is bound to fail sooner or later. I’ve read some not-so-great experiences people have had with customer service, so I’m dreading the day this thing dies. That said, it has a two-year warranty, and if it lasts, it will be well worth the price. My old Dolphin still works, but I can’t imagine using it again unless the Aiper dies. I hope it’s well-built and reliable. It sure looks like it is. I would strongly recommend giving this Aiper a shot over the competition. I just wish I had made the switch sooner.

This keeps getting stuck on the stairs. I've had this for a while now and it works great except for that. It's held up well.

The Aiper Scuba S1 is incredibly easy to use, it has 4 cleaning modes, Auto mode which cleans the walls, waterline & floor, floor only mode, wall only mode, & an eco-mode for periodic cleaning as needed, so each feature can be utilized for your pool cleaning needs. Simply charge up the Scuba S1, turn it on by pressing 1 of the modes desired, release it into the pool & the Scuba S1 will do all the pool cleaning for you in a quiet & sleek fashion with a full charge battery life of up to 150min of continuous pool cleaning. The Aiper Scuba S1 has incredible suction capabilities on both the ground floor & when it performs its walk climbing tasks, almost immediately you can see the difference of cleanliness when the Scuba S1 glides across the pool floor & as it is wall climbing the spinning brush on the front also performs its cleaning duties. Cleaning out the large filter is also fast & easy, simply pop open the top of the machine, remove the large square filter, empty out the debris in the trash, rinse the filter under a hose/running water & then replace back into the robot pool cleaner & repeat cleaning routines as needed. I tried the new (2024 Upgrade) AIPER Scuba S1 cordless robotic pool cleaner vacuum today and wow I was impressed. I was a little skeptical that the filter would not catch the fine south west dirt that that blows around in the desert and settles everywhere. The pool cleaner charges up quickly and runs for a about 3.5 hours or more. I let it clean my pool and it was still in the middle of the charge or green on the LED light. My Pool is 16 x 34 I tried the default cleaning mode first and the wall climbing feature works awesome and climb the wall with ease all the way to the top. It will sit at the top and run the scrubber for about 5 to 10 seconds then it will go back down and move over to the next section of the wall. I like the scrubber on the front of the pool cleaner does a great job of scrubbing the service as it moves around. Hopefully this will reduce my brush time on the walls. The pool cleaner even came up the steps and up to my Shamu shelf with ease. After about 45 minutes of cleaning the walls, I set the pool cleaner to just the floor and let it do it magic. At first it looks like it was going to skip over some leave and pine needles in a certain area of the pool but over the next hour it picked up everything in the pool. The pool cleaner captures the finest of dirt and particles that were at the bottom of the pool. At first it looked like it was just blowing the dirt out the exhaust and past the filter but to my believe it had all the dirt in the filter. The pool cleaner is very easy to clean the included hook fits on the end of a standard pool pole making retrieval easy. Next time the wind blows a ton of red dust and dirt into the pool well see how well it works with the filter. I think if the filter had a thin cloth filter with the mesh filter it might collect the dirt better. I guess we will see how well it works in the future.
