My first impression of this battery upon removing it from the box was the weight. This is a 13lb battery rated at 18 Ampere/Hours capacity and 250 Cold Cranking Amperes of instantaneous current. After dealing with so many lighter LiFePO4 and Li Ion batteries, I was reminded why they are so popular as vehicle batteries. The problem with LiFePO4 and Li Ion batteries , however, is that common charging systems in today's vehicles do not supply the specific charge profile required for proper care and feeding of those wonderfully light batteries. The vast majority of vehicle charge systems are tailored for Lead Acid batteries ... and can damage LiFePO4 and Li Ion chemistries and reduce their considerably high lifespans. The built-in Battery Management Systems (BMS) in lithium batteries do NOT compensate for this incorrect charging profile ... they merely keep the thing from exploding, thermal run-away, running dead, or catching fire. It is because of this that I continue to use Lead Acid batteries, specifically Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) lead acid types, in my motorcycles. This one will hopefully fit into my Honda ST1300 without any problems. Likewise for my Honda Grom, I have a 4 Ampere/Hour AGM lead acid battery on charge and slated to replace its own worn-out lead acid battery. I'm sticking with Lead Acid in all my vehicles for reliability. Up in the workshop I measured a 12.96VDC straight out of the box ... ready to go! The NOCO 1 Ampere charger I hooked up instantly recognized this big guy and I selected AGM for its charge profile. The poles are old-school with blocks drilled for top or side mountings and use the square captive nut and bolt combination. I wasted no time in painting the top facet of each in the appropriate color scheme: RED for positive and BLACK for negative. The battery does have markings for polarity as shown in my photos, but I like having the colors glaring at me when I hook the battery up. I highly recommend this. There is a small hole on the back of the battery, centered at the very top. I believe this is a pressure vent for hydrogen gas. The battery has markings warning to keep it away from open flames to discourage any Hindenburg displays. The case is very stout and seems up to the task for withstanding bumps and jolts common on motorcycles and ATVs. Once I have installed it into my Honda and used it for a good while, I will know more about its reliability. If it doesn't measure up, I will revisit this review and amend it. For now, this big guy gets a full five stars for old school electrical vehicle power.

I’m very happy with this YTX20HL motorcycle battery — it’s exactly what I needed and performs flawlessly. Right out of the box it arrived fully charged and ready to go, so there was no waiting around or need to top it up before installing. As soon as I put it in the bike and hooked everything up, the engine turned over instantly with zero hesitation. Starts the bike every time without a second thought. The build quality feels solid and well made. The AGM, maintenance-free design is a big plus for me: no worries about acid leaks, no filling cells, and basically zero upkeep. If you just want something that works and stays reliable, this fits the bill. Fitment was perfect for my application and installation was straightforward. Once installed, it has done exactly what a motorcycle battery should do — provide strong, consistent starts and sit quietly without issues. Overall this is a good-quality battery at a reasonable price that delivers reliable performance. It starts my bike every time and gives me confidence it will hold up well over time. If you’re looking for a dependable replacement battery that’s easy to install and maintenance-free, I’d definitely recommend this one.
