1. 5 cuft of Purolite C100E resin (for 48k systems). Purolite C100E is a premium, industrial grade gel polystyrenic strong acid cation exchange resin supplied in the sodium form. Its principal application in the sodium form is in industrial water softening. Purolite Standard Purolite Standard Resin is a high purity premium grade bead form conventional gel polystyrene sulfonate cation exchange resin designed expressly for the treatment of foodstuffs, beverages, potable waters, and water used in the processing of food. Its specification is such that it will exceed the relevant EEC requirements, and the resin is in compliance with the U. S. Food & Drug Administration Code of Federal Regulations section 21, paragraph 173. 25; for use in the treatment of foods for human consumption. Its high bead integrity, excellent chemical and physical stability, and very low extractables content play a large part in its successful employment in these areas. Product is exactly what it says, and exactly what I needed. I LOVE that I could buy exactly the amount I needed for my 10" by 54" resin tank. Otherwise I would have had to buy two full bags. What am I going to do with a leftover half bag? Throw it away. So this item is even helping me be a better steward of the environment. The ONLY challenge is that if you happen to get the beginning of a bag, then that is packaged in a random plastic bag. (If you get the remaining half, then they send it in the original packaging). So when we opened the box there was a lot of loose resin because the bag had torn. Was it a pain to put into the resin tank? ABSOLUTELY! Are we still in one piece after we carefully scooped up all that resin with plastic cups, and dry paint brushes? And does the water softener now work as it should? YES!! So I would totally buy this item again. (Although I am not supposed to have to do that, HALLELUJAH!) ... show more

    • Exactly what I expected, quality product from good seller.
I have purchased from Abundant Flow Water multiple times over the years, they are a legit seller that provides genuine products. I had a large dual tank softener to re-bed. I received a total of 6 cubic feet and yes the half cubic foot bags were both in the factory Purolite bags and some in clear plastic. But the resin looked the same in each, and it makes sense if they are separating 1 cubic foot bag into two half cubic foot and you only have one factory bag then the other will be in a non-factory bag. New to softeners, house we bought had a 15 year old Rainsoft system that had never been maintained or resin changed out come to find out (after adding to tank) most home systems only need .5 cu.ft. of material. So I'm good for another 2 changes lol My plumber buddy's only concern is how moist the resin was. He stated all the resins he's replaced were like dry sand, this is more like that indoor 'sand' kids can mold, sticks to itself etc. Was a pain to funnel into tank because it wanted to stay clumped. Again, this could be they way its made, he'd never used this brand before. but it works! ... show more

    • Resin was up to expectations. Great resin Quality, Packaging and Performance
Resin is what was expected. After regeneration of the system the water is back to original softening capability as experienced when the system was new. Water hardness reduced, glasses with watermarks are fading with newly softened water realized with resin replacement. The product was not as seen in the picture. The smaller second bag was sent in such a thin clear bag that it was broken and spilling out and through the cardboard box. I don't know if I got Putolite or some other product in the bag since it was unlabeled.
