I received the scooter in excellent condition. Unpacking and assembly took about 30 minutes. I was disappointed with the first ride since the maximum speed was restricted to only 15 mph in 3rd gear. Contacting Tyokum through Amazon customer service solved the problem. Five presses of the Mode button remove the speed limit which is indicated by a square box around the gear number, and five presses again restore it. Another confusion was a mistake in the user manual on how to actually set the parameters. A long press of the Mode and Power buttons does enter the parameter mode, but then a long press of only the Power button enters the parameter modification mode. Then short presses of the Power button modify the parameter. Another long press of the Power button exits the parameter modification mode. After discovering this, I was able to change km/h to miles/h. It takes a few charge-discharge cycles to obtain full battery capacity but so far, I've gone 20 miles with one bar (30%) still on the battery. I expect this to improve with a few more cycles. This is a beautifully designed and manufactured scooter, a great value for the money especially given the 18 AH battery, the largest in its class. ... show more

Only 4 miles so far. Quite impressed. Love the adjustable controls. I set mine to default gear 1, start from stopped, soft start, and cruise control on. The cruise control makes cruising more relaxed. The soft start, with my poor balance, makes starting out smoother. When using the seat, the start from full stop is helpful. All the lights make for safer night use. It does seem the headlights prefer to point up. First attempt to adjust down only helped a little. May make the approaching cars take more notice though. It easily goes 25 mph and wants to go more but I have to stop at the corners before it does. It did require a full charge before any of the electronics , including the lights , would work. 4 miles hasn't put a dent in the battery level yet. ... show more

    • Stay far away!!!!!!!!
I never got one after waiting for weeks and 2 different times they claimed they sent it, so I brought one from another site and what a mistake. Tyokum has terrible quality. The front folding mechanism bent putting it in the van. I ordered a new folding mechanism. I am still waiting on it. The controller failed, the brake cable broke, the back fender broke, the bent folding mechanism is causing tires to wear uneven (I constantly need new tires), the horn died, all the lights failed. I would stay away from this kind of scooter. It’s dangerous. Update: The rear brake lever snapped in half while on a ride, the other brake cable is falling apart. I am riding sideways because of the bent folding mechanism. I am once again ordering new tires as a result. The front brake caliper inboard brake pad adjustment screw fell out. I noticed the rotors are on backwards and the pads are hard to find. Also the seat snapped off at the welding point. The metal is very soft. This is a super dangerous gamble. The amount of money to buy replacement parts is enough to buy a new escooter and hospital bills, I could buy a new car, smh. The customer service doesn’t exist. The seller is getting these of overseas sellers like temu and AliExpress and reselling junk. The seller has no knowledge on the product. I was sent to buy tools I didn’t need or couldn’t use because they were wrong. The seller is oblivious to your needs. Don’t do it!!! ... show more

    • What products to use to fix Scooter
The Manuel doesn't give proper instructions if you have issues with the Scooter ex. My Scooter no longer works now support saids it could be the belt that needs to change how am I going to buy that if it doesn't specify the name of the belt or where to buy it. Same goes when they mention grease the certain parts with what type of grease Vaseline wd-40 what specify what can a person do to help fix their product they spend alot on and now no longer works communication is key. ... show more

I ordered 2 scooters. Having lots of fun. One scooter had a defect with collapsing steering column. The company was immediately responsive and worked with me on the return and refund. I am still having a grand time on the scooter that I kept.
