  • I love this scooter!
Color: Matte Black
*Firstly I want to talk about the delivery. Amazon, you need to get it together. I was told it would be delivered Thursday before 10pm, fine, whatever. I am not working Thursday so I’ll just stay home all day and wait for the notification. Then I got an email that it was going to be delivered a day early (Wednesday) which normally would be awesome but they required me to meet the carrier to exchange a password for the package. I work Wednesday at 2p so I called Amazon to ask if I could get a more narrow time frame so I can plan around it. I was told they don’t know when it will be delivered. 30 minutes after my call I got a notification it would be delivered between 11a - 3p. Why not just tell me that? I was able to sign for the package but was a bit late to work for it.* The bike itself is really great. For reference I am 280 lbs, 5’9” and I got the 500w 25 mile version of this product. Starting with the unboxing, it came very well packaged and took maybe 30 minutes to put together. It’s very self explanatory with minimal experience. The seat is adjustable, the shocks are adjustable and the handle is adjustable to an extend. It comes with a charger, bell, 2 keys, and a basket to affix to the scooter. I do highly highly highly recommend getting a cupholder, phone holder, and at least one rear view mirror to add to the bike, it will make your ride much more enjoyable. The scooter is pretty comfortable. They advertise the seat being really padded making long rides more bearable. It’s alright, not as comfy as I thought it’d be. The seat does also have some springs to make your ride smoother, however I do sometimes feel like I am going to fall off the back of the scooter due to the springs compressing. The lack of suspension in the front is noticeable but once you get riding you get used to it. Something that isn’t really talked about is the gear mechanism. It has 3 gears, “A” (gear 0), “1” (gear 1), $ “2” (gear 2). When you turn on the bike it automatically is in “A”. The motor will not move the bike. It’s essentially in neutral. “1” is a slow speed, while in this gear I can get up to 15.7 mph on a flat road, 10.3 mph going uphill. “2” is full power, in this gear I am able to reach the bikes max speed of 20 mph going on a flat road, 13.5 mph uphill. I am really impressed with the performance of this scooter. The battery indicator is not very accurate. I ride under a mile to work everyday. The indicator drops very quickly when in “2” but pops back up when I come to a stop. It’s more of a “current use” indicator than a “remaining life” indicator. The lights are EXTREMELY bright for something this size. They do take some adjusting out of the box as mine came with the headlight facing the wheel below it but once they’re adjusted the work very well. The rear light does flash as you brake. Overall a great bike for the price, I 100% recommend this for anyone looking for a neat scooter to ride to work, around campus, or through a city. Edit: I still love this scooter however after stress testing it, I am only able to get about 10 ish miles on a full charge when fully using gear 2. I’m sure if you rationed the battery, keeping it in gear 1, it’d last longer but I’m a bit disappointed as I was expecting it to last much longer. ... show more

  • Fast and comfortable
Color: Black
One of the best electric bike/scooter I’ve had! I love the use of key and how easy it was to use. Turning the key one more step will activate the front light. The seat was large and soft, 5 star comfort! The steering head can be folded down for easy storage. The speed is fast with two level of speed. Comes with a big storage compartment under the seat as well as the back basket area for holding bags. It will go on road as well as side walk which is what I was looking for. ... show more

  • Great scooter for daily commuting
Color: Light Black
I’ve been using this scooter for my daily commute and short trips around the neighborhood, and it’s been a great purchase. It rides smoothly, feels stable, and handles small bumps in the road better than I expected. The seat makes a big difference and keeps longer rides much more comfortable than standing the whole time. Assembly was simple and only took a few minutes. Everything worked right out of the box, and I’ve had no problems with it so far. The rear basket is also really useful for carrying groceries or a backpack, which has been more convenient than I expected. For the price, I think this scooter offers great value. It’s easy to ride, comfortable, and has made getting around a lot more convenient. If you need an e-scooter for short commutes or everyday errands, this is definitely worth considering. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Fun to ride
Color: Light Black
I really like this scooter. It was easy to put together and simple to use. The seat is comfortable, so I don’t get tired on longer rides. The 12-inch tires make the ride smoother, even on roads with small bumps. The basket on the back is very useful. I can carry groceries, a backpack, or other small items without any problem. The front hook is also nice for hanging a bag. The scooter has enough speed for riding around the neighborhood or going to nearby stores. The brakes work well and help me feel safe while riding. It also feels stable and easy to control. The battery has been good for my daily trips, and I haven’t had any issues so far. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase. It’s comfortable, practical, and fun to ride. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable electric scooter with a seat for everyday use. ... show more

  • Yes but.... and still recommend
Over all great scooter! I love it. 145-150lb rider. Makes errands a breeze. Assembly was extremely easy! Not too heavy to move/ pickip (I'm 5'1"). It's only been a week of light riding. Haven't charged yet, so that good. Pretty quiet def a plus! A bit on a shorter foot board but perfect for me! But.. today it just didn't feel the same. Something seemed slightly "bumpy" not quite as smooth ride power on same roads traveled. Also the front tire has needed air 2x. If can get a replacement scooter easily and same issue doesn't occur, this will be a 5 star purchase and would 100% definitely recommend. I'll update soon after contact amazon. So far amazon has always given excellent customer service so fingers crossed UPDATE:. From 3 star to 4. Whatever issues I had, amazon wonderfully fixed it, made replacement/return all easy, and I'm still happily enjoying riding a scooter! Will update to 5 if after some time and use and season all is still the same. UPDATE2: After about 5+ wks riding: I use maybe 1x a wk for longer ride and a few times for 5-15 min errand trips. Testing out the "full power" continuously ONCE. I can say, the battery life is great. Haven't needed to charge much and seems to go the distance stated. It is a little rough going over some bumps. Could use a little better shock absorb. My biggest gripe is how loud squeaky the back seat/ backframe shock sounds. Started a little after a wk after purchase. Thought maybe needed "break in" but it still sounds like an old metal loose car) will try oil. The breaks (remember not much use and gentle riding) seem to w be wearing out quick (which I read in another comment) and the right one doesn't work well (might be scooter specific) The tread on the tire kinda looks like I've been riding months on tough terrains. The front tire fails to remain as taught as the rear. Even as soon as put air in,but doesn't flat or cause issues. It doesn't seem to go quite as fast as when I first received. Took out yesterday (7/5/24) and just felt a lag (purchsses 5/24/24) Not sure if this will be a continuing downhill issue. With that said, overall, as long as NO cont. declining power, it's a perfect scooter for in town around. I'D STILL RECOMMEND PURCHASING! These are minor and have not actually affected its purpose much. For company go-trax mod recommendation: 1-a better, real "horn" (not a lil girls tinker bike bell that has done NOTHING for me warning while riding) 2- tougher wheels n breaks 3- waterproofing allowing for more usage (sprinkles put a damper on a whole week and various days for me! :( 4- better display w/ more info (ex: mi traveled, speed, actual battery percentage during riding and charging) ... show more

  • Horrible company, scooter can barely make it up hills
Update: Gotrax never sent me a replacement tire tube, despite telling me they did. After giving me the runaround for several weeks, they told me to purchase tire tubes size (and I am quoting them directly from the email) " 14"x2.5" ". They said they woud reimburse. Fine. I trusted that the information they gave me was accurate, however the tire tubes I got arrived today. They are not the right size. The size listed in this ad for the ASTRO is " 14"x2.125" "; the size they gave me is for a different model. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I haven't been able to use my scooter since July 14th. It is now September 9th. I will have to re-order the right size and again ask them to reimburse me for the cost. Their customer service team is in China so it's not as if I can get this resolved in real time. ------------ Update: my rear tire went flat randomly and i could not pump it up. A month ago GoTrax customer support say they would send me 2 new replacement tires since they are a special kind. I have yet to receive the tires. They cannot give me a tracking number. For several days they keep telling me they’ll check the warehouse. I have mobility issues and can’t drive so this is my backup. I’ve been depressed and not having transportation is adding to all of my other problems making me $uicidal. I just want to replace my tire. They won’t give me a tracking number and have not just re-sent tires to me. I’m extremely angry Update: after charging the scooter all night, the battery only had 3 bars. Right now I don’t feel safe traveling longer than 5 miles unless I’ll be able to charge the battery at my destination. I contacted customer support because it seems to me that the battery is faulty and I would rather have a replacement then to be stranded somewhere in winter with a ~65 lb scooter that doesn’t work. I will update once this is resolved through customer service. I found this scooter while looking for an affordable electric scooter that was equipped with a basket. The package was delivered to the wrong apartment, and considering the box weighs quite a bit, it was a workout to pull it up a set of stairs and over to my apartment. Once I got it inside and opened the box, setup was fairly easy. The handlebars come disconnected but are easy to connect. The only things left to do were add the seat, basket, and then plug in the battery. I modified the scooter with a larger basket, rear-view mirror, and phone holder. I also got a Master Lock brand U-lock to use while out and about. The scooter comes with front and rear lights, and a little bell. The bell was in the way so I moved it to allow room for the mirror. The shocks can be adjusted depending on how much cushion you want. I didn’t adjust mine but I may loosen them a bit just to have a smoother ride. On my first ride I noticed that it accelerates nicely and fairly smoothly. The mechanism to go forward took a bit to getting used to, only because the scooters I rode previously were a bit different. I almost always ride at the max speed, and let off when going down hills. Higher speeds are possible while going down hill. On inclines the scooter slows a little bit, and even more if the incline is more than a 20 degree angle. Nonetheless, this was not an issue for me as I was not needing to go up steep inclines. I also weigh around 108 lbs, so I imagine someone weighing closer to the max limit of the scooter would have trouble. There is not a lot of “horse power” driving the motor so for people who want more speed and more power, I would recommend the 500W model rather than the 350W one that I bought. Another small thing I noticed is that - just after one ride, the grip tape is coming off in one of the corners. It’s not a huge deal, but as someone who used to skateboard - gripping her own boards - it’s not difficult to make sure the grip tape stays on properly. The grip tape itself is a little bit thin, so I might actually replace the grip tape myself. On my second right I noticed that on the way back from a ~3 mile round trip, the battery indication screen kept going from 3 bars to 2, interchanging between the two almost randomly. I charged the battery full overnight, and that issue did not happen the first day I rode it, and it had only charged for ~4 hours prior to that. I’m not sure if there is something wrong with my scooter, but I plan on seeing what the bars do when the battery drains lower. Another thing I noticed is that the breaks don’t function as well when roads are wet, so it’s something to be mindful for. This is true for bicycles as well so I was expecting that. I rode the scooter on a dry day and a wet day and it did fine both times. For the price, it is decent. The price dropped around $60 literally the day after I bought it, which meant the price for the 500W had dropped to the price I paid for this scooter, so I was feeling kind of bitter about that. I would have preferred the 500W, but the price point and shipping time for this one just worked out better for me. In the future if I were to buy another one, or replace this one, I would get one with more power for sure. ... show more

  • Great electronic scooter
Color: Light Black
I’ve been really impressed with this electric scooter overall. It is my first electric scooter and It’s a great combination of convenience, performance, and value, especially for short commutes and daily errands. The ride is smooth and stable, even on slightly uneven roads. The acceleration is responsive without feeling too aggressive, making it easy to control for both beginners and experienced riders. The battery life is solid and lasts long enough for typical daily use, and charging is straightforward. I also appreciate the build quality — it feels sturdy and well-made, yet still lightweight enough to carry when needed. The folding mechanism is simple and convenient, which makes storage and transport much easier. Overall, this electric scooter is a practical and fun way to travel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, eco-friendly commuting option. ... show more

  • Comfy Commuter? This Gotrax Flex Ultra Delivers on Speed and Range!
Color: Matte Black
Okay, so I got my hands on this Gotrax FLEX ULTRA through the Vine program, and I've been zipping around on it for a bit now. And let me tell you, the "with Seat" part is an absolute game-changer for anyone who's ever considered an electric scooter but dreaded standing for an entire commute or long joyride. My back officially thanks Gotrax. First off, assembly was surprisingly quick and straightforward. You're not spending hours trying to figure out obscure diagrams. Got it put together and charging pretty fast. Now, let's talk about the ride itself. The **seat** makes all the difference. It's comfortable enough for extended periods, and just being able to sit down takes so much pressure off your legs and back. It transforms the experience from a workout to a genuinely relaxed cruise. I actually look forward to using it for quick errands or just getting some fresh air. The **20 MPH speed** feels plenty zippy. It's fast enough to keep up with most urban bike lanes or even short stretches of road without feeling like you're holding up traffic. I'm not looking to break any land speed records, so for practical everyday use, this is a sweet spot. It accelerates smoothly, which is a nice touch. As for the **25-mile range**, I've found it to be pretty accurate, perhaps a little less if you're consistently on full throttle up hills, but that's expected. For my typical daily jaunts – quick trips to the store, visiting a friend a few miles away, or just exploring the neighborhood – I can easily go a couple of days between charges. It's really freed me up from taking the car for those shorter, annoying drives. The overall build quality feels solid. It's not flimsy, and the brakes are responsive and instill confidence. I also appreciate the front and rear lights, which are essential for riding during dawn or dusk. The "FLEX" in the name suggests some portability, and yes, it folds down reasonably well, making it easier to store or throw in the trunk of a car if needed. Who is this for? If you're looking for a comfortable, reliable, and reasonably fast electric scooter for commuting, running errands, or just enjoying some outdoor mobility without the strain of standing, this Gotrax FLEX ULTRA is a really strong contender. It's definitely changed how I view scooters, and I'd absolutely recommend it. ... show more
