  • Best Scooter I’ve ever owned!
I just received my Segway ZT3 Pro scooter and wow I am blown away by how awesome this scooter really is! I had a hard time picking which scooter i wanted to go with since there are so many different kinds out there but I am really happy I chose a name brand scooter with the reputation that they have. I wanted a scooter to where if I had any issues or problems I know Segway will handle the problem. Unlike the other knock off brands to where if you ever have an issue getting that issue resolved would be problematic. This scooter has a powerful 1600 watt battery that I definitely stand behind. I’m just over 200lbs and this scooter handles my weight like I’m not even there. In sport mode they say this scooter can do 25mph and I honestly can say I’m amazed with how fast this thing is. At 25mph there is no wobble or feeling like the thing is going to break at any moment. The traction control is a really nice feature that other scooters don’t offer. The Segway app is beautifully crafted and allows you to fully customize your scooter to your liking. Also having an iPhone is a plus with the find me app I know where my scooter is at all times! I’m definitely a beginner rider and in all honesty this thing is a beast! I also loved how it came all pre assembled minus having to install the handle bars which are only four screws and it comes with the tool to screw in the screws which I thought was a nice addition because I didn’t have to dig through my toolbox trying to find the right size head to assemble the handle bars. Overall I highly recommend this scooter to anyone looking for quality and dependability with a name brand that has a high reputation! ... show more

  • A blast to ride!
Segway makes a great scooter! Solid in design and function. There's a whole lot of tech that's went into this also. I haven't had it out on a off road trek yet but it seems very durable. Purchased "mint" from this seller and it definitely arrived as much. Would buy again.

  • Good quality and tech, real speed instead of inflated claims
6’2” 210lbs. I wanted something fast, sturdy, long battery life, quick charge, could handle my weight, and could handle my height (I did not want to lean over for short handle bars). This has delivered and more. The more: the delay charging feature and battery temperature in the Bluetooth enabled app is extremely convenient. To protect your investment similar to a smart phone you want to charge when not overheated and below 100% when you are storing it. You can do all of this with the app and more. You can even set the top speed to increase distance. There is cruise control. There is a lot of good. I had one big fall and the scooter flipped and everything yet it still runs like nothing happened. This is a great scooter and you won’t be disappointed. Some other scooters claim to have faster speed near the same price point but you have to be like a 100 pounds and almost going down hill lol and the battery takes 10-12 hours to charge. At least you know here you will reach 25 mph and around 19 miles at that speed. At 20mph and 16mph you get a lot more distance. I just reached over 1,300 miles and still like new. ... show more

  • Great Scooter
Such a fun scooter. It's quick and built well. I'm a bigger individual and I don't feel like I'm gonna break it while riding. Good tech. Folds up if and when needed. I look forward to riding it to work everyday. Definitely happy with the purchase.

  • Fun, But Flawed and Potentially Dangerous
This is an incredibly fun, impressively powerful scooter jam packed with intuitive features and horrid oversights. Initially, I intended for a 3 star review, but on only my second time using it, it put me in a very precarious situation when the engine simply failed to engage in a busy intersection. That, on its own, warrants immediate pause. At full battery, the moment I needed the engine to work the most, it simply refused to engage at all no matter how much I fiddled with the throttle. That could genuinely put someone's life on the line. Now, onto less dire things, I'll just go through issues and reasons to think twice about this. It is heavy. It is VERY heavy. The big issue with this is less the weight, and more the fact that they put precisely zero handles to actually grab and maneuver this thing. If they had just included handles anywhere for carrying it, that would be fine. But this is not portable at all. Not realistically. Its ability to fold is not secure enough to be used as a handle. The custom button is not actually a custom button, but a "Pick 1 of 4 presets button", which doesn't roll off the tongue or sound as nice. The reason this is an issue is because you can't rebind some of the terrible controls, such as the cruise control. Nothing says "safe" like having to hold a button for 2 seconds while staring at the screen to know if it actually worked. The very existence of a "custom button" would imply that you could, you know, customize its function...but you can't. You choose emergency blinkers, hill climb, walk assist, and some other equally trivial thing. Therefore, the easiest, most accessible button on the entire left side of the scooter is absolutely useless. Terrible oversight there, and pretty confusing. As an aside, the bell is really bad. I have never heard a bell that stood out so little. Most people didn't hear it when I was right behind them. Assembly was VERY easy, but there was one screw port that was borderline unusable. I had to leave a screw only halfway inserted, elsewise I risked stripping the hole or outright snapping the included tool. I even tried a different screw, but it wouldn't go. This is notable since it's genuinely impossible to mess up installation. That's a plus, given that it really does just take a few seconds. It also means that there was a manufacturing error since the impossible-to-misalign screw just didn't go in. The app being required sucks. It didn't suck as much as some, but it isn't great. My scooter gave 3 different prompts when trying to connect, and only one was valid, so that immediately made things weird. Just having to make an account to ride is annoying enough. The app itself is mostly fine, but overall clunky and largely redundant. What's the point of an app when you can't actually change 90% of things? Updating the firmware was, thankfully, easy enough, but it didn't pair to my account after doing so. I had to restart the process, which was just needlessly cumbersome. The scooter has the same problem all thumb-throttle things do. If you hit a bump, your acceleration changes fast since your thumb jumps. It has a fake hand throttle that kind of works, but only kind of. It's a good touch, at least. This matters a lot, though, as the thing wobbles an insane amount for something with "stabilization technology". It felt a lot LESS stable than the rentable scooters I've tried. I felt drastically less safe at times on this because of that. This is all at ends with how it feels going around corners, because when this thing turns, it feels like a dream. It handles around turns better than it does on straights of semi-smooth sidewalk. I'm very mixed on the battery. For the sale price of 800, a fully battery powered scooter having more range than a pedal assisted bike costing 500 is impressive. But it's not doubling the battery, and for double the price without a sale...I'd expect more. This also lacks the ability to change batteries out, and since it absolutely cannot be pushed like a normal scooter, you're stranded if the battery dies. It also starts to lose a LOT of power at around 25% battery. It was entirely unable to hit anything over 18mph at that point, and was quickly losing steam beyond that. I'm both impressed and disappointed by the battery. To round this off, I'll tell more about what happened to drop this to a 1 star. It was my second ride and I was already on the fence about keeping this. Lots of fun, but pretty deeply flawed. Feeling safe on it, I took it on the bike lane along my normal commute, which includes a very large and busy intersection. The worst place to stall out. Well, as life tends to, this is the very moment the worst happened. Doing nothing different than any other time, I kicked off to get some speed and then pressed the throttle. For context, you are SUPPOSED to be moving a little before it lets you accelerate at all. This is important, so keep that in mind. Now, moving at what my bike said was 3mph with me kicking forward as hard as possible, I tried again and again to get it to accelerate in this very busy intersection while cars sped by me. It refused to function no matter what I did. The problem with a scooter like this is that it is not designed to work like a scooter. It cannot hold momentum; you cannot physically hop on it after a push and simply go. It stops the moment you stop pushing. This meant I was shoving this thing across a very crowded intersection at walking speed while in the bike lane. Half way through, it suddenly started working for no apparent reason. I tried to recreate this when I got somewhere away from traffic, and discovered some very concerning things. Even at a full stop, the scooter was reading its speed at 2mph. This means that even nudging the throttle sent it forward, even when at a full stop. Remember that it's not supposed to engage its motor until moving with some speed? Yeah, not only did it not do that, but it also was unable to tell that it was at a dead stop moments later. This was my second ride of very gentle sidewalk riding. Nothing extreme; nothing to jostle the circuits or wires. It simply revealed a very concerning glitch on my second ride. That's most of the negatives out of the way. It's sad that this had so many issues, because it's a REALLY fun, albeit expensive, scooter. For this price, even WITH the sale, let alone without, I expected a lot more. The app is functionally useless, the custom button simply isn't so, and the thing wobbles like crazy. But the engine? Whew, that thing GOES. The scooter is amazing for getting past people in the way, and the brakes are impressive. I felt very safe when needing to brake, even down hill. That was so nice. Reliable and powerful breaks are a must have. Its ability to get up to speed fast, and even climb hills, was really nice. Those, at least, were right for the price. But that's the thing. I got this on sale. Off sale, this is bordering on untenable. It should offer a lot more for that price point. Tiny potholes that you'd not feel on a bike nearly make this thing explode. But rocks and big cracks in the sidewalk are fine. It handles dips just fine, and still feels stable on even bumpy turns. Seriously, this thing turns better than bikes. It feels really zippy in corners, and that makes it exhilarating. Overall, I wanted to like this, but absolutely cannot trust it. It's found wanting in too many areas, and outright dangerous in two that matter most. Reliability and stability. I don't understand why this thing wobbles like a leaf in the wind on straights, but takes turns like a dream. I have no idea why it simply stopped working correctly when in the worst place possible, but that showed some very prevalent issues that really could risk a life. I don't understand the purpose of the custom button when you CAN'T CUSTOMIZE IT. Overall, it is absolutely not worth the full price, and I'm hard pressed to say it's worth the sales price. More than anything, I can't recommend this to anyone who will be using it by cars. ... show more
