This is my third scooter in a couple of weeks - haha. Started out getting a smaller one for $100 that was on sale - fun, easy to carry - takes you around the block. I have it in the trunk of the car. Then I got a g2 max since I have some hills in the area. Now I was hooked. Nice scooter but not quite powerful enough for my 190 pounds up the hills so I attempted to return this one for the GT3. Long story short, I ended up keeping the g2. Great for friends and my older kids to go with me. The GT3 is just perfect for my needs. This thing is quality. Heavy but very stable and I feel safe being a bit older. Very comfortable ride and has the extra power when needed. Im hooked. Got the Segway mirror for it. Should have been included. My wife keeps asking if I really need 3 scooters. Probably not :)

The technology is not so stable though I have several scooters in the technology needs to be better if you have more than one scooter because it locks up frequently and I have to restart the scooter from scratch take all the software off the phone put it back on and then reset the whole scooter itself sometimes.

This Segway SuperScooter GT3 is a real beast! From the moment I got on, I knew it was a totally different experience. The speed of 31 MPH is mind-blowing and allows you to reach anywhere in the blink of an eye, transforming my daily journeys into pure fun. What surprised me the most, in addition to the speed, is the stability and comfort it offers. The suspension is excellent, absorbing potholes and slopes with ease, making driving smooth even on uneven terrain. The brakes are powerful and very reliable, which gives you a great sense of safety at these speeds. The build quality is premium, it feels robust and durable. The range is also very good, allowing me to take long trips without worrying about the battery. If you are looking for a high-performance, safe and exciting electric skateboard that really leaves you speechless, the Segway GT3 is the perfect choice! It is worth every penny.

The GT3 is an excellent entry point for riders looking to get into something more serious. The stability system is very nice and makes you feel secure while riding. There’s a lot of tech on board that makes you realize a big difference between the GT3 and other scooters that claim to go faster for the same price. The locking function is very nice, linking to Apple find is very nice, very loud bell and horn, battery life is very nice as long as you manage your speeds a bit. All in all it’s a great value, amazing ride too, loaded with features. I will say it’s a tad bit large and heavy so if you want to load it into the car you may want some help but it’s a robust frame meant to hold up through all sorts of terrains. Even if you ride hard, keep it nice and it will last you years!

200 miles later, as a 220lb male, this thing is a certified ripper. If you’re able to resist sport mode, eco at 15mph will get you 35 miles of relatively flat range. Torque is great, it doesnt blink twice on long consistent grades in any mode. The headlights are amazing as well. The build quality and ease of use is great. Passcode and airlock and super convenient. Charge time is as stated, less than 4.5 hours. I mostly cruise for fun, but have used it to commute 15 miles 1 way to work, charge it at work and back home i went. Returned home with 40% and used Sport mode plenty of times along the way. Throughly satisfied. Worth spending the extra money over nobody knows Chinese brands.

I really wanted to give five start but there’s some things that could drastically use improvement. I received my Segway GT3 standard scooter and out of the box the stem/handlebar is offset to the right from center almost an entire inch, it’s not super uncomfortable i guess but it’s definitely not something that should occur when spending the amount i spent on it. This also causes the head light to be dispositioned to the right by 2-3’ making the road directly in front of me to be completely un-illuminated. It would be useful if i was constantly going in circles turning right I suppose. And the speedometer is off by 3 mph so ultimately the scooter only accelerates to 28mph and has a top speed of 28mph not 31. And it’s like this for however fast you are traveling. So if it says 11mph it’s really only going 9mph. I have used different city speed radars to verify this, not just one radar. Also I recently hit a 2-3” rectangular dip in the road so decline and near immediate incline. The left blinker assembly detached from the scooter, causing a fault that wouldn’t clear. Now this i’m sure is a safety feature but it should be optional. The entire scooter became a giant cinder block that locked up. I was unable to disable the lock settings through the app due to the fault because the scooter wouldn’t allow any change to settings. There should be an acknowledgment to clear the fault. Like oh your blinker is having a problem, clear fault to continue riding until your able to repair it. Back to the blinker, they’re held on by a plastic ring that clips around the rear bolt holding the wheel. This is a very cheap method for a device in the price range it is in. That said the brakes are impeccable, the suspension is mid, good for the price point, the distance/range is also pretty good, i travel 17 miles to work daily and home 17 miles. I keep it mostly in sport depending on the conditions. I get to work mostly flat with about 700ft declining in altitude. I get to work at about 40-50%. And going home the battery is about 4%-23% depending on if it’s windy out as the scooter does have to put some extra work in going uphill partially. Which is also disappointing because it’s advertised that at 31mph in sport mode it can go up to 25 miles. If you’re testing a scooter you should be testing it at your max weight tolerance. Having someone thats half the max weight test the scooter and claim it goes 25 miles with a max weight of 330lbs. Or at least close to it. And the external battery option from reviews i read are drastically different from what its advertised it does. The segway page says that as long as its within the safe operating temperature range it will act as a battery extension providing longer ride ranges. However reviews portray it more as a portable battery charger. As in you ride, drain the built in battery, then the external battery only charges the built in battery it doesn’t actually act as an external battery to extend the normal travel distance. It’s explained as a portable battery charger not a battery extension providing additional distance. I did have a pretty nasty fall in my first week of riding going over 20mph and I got pretty hurt. I would definitely advise getting a motorcycle helmet as a bicycle helmet will not off the protection needed for safe riding. Overall it’s a great scooter but i wish it wasn’t partially defective out of the box. It definitely put a sour feel to it. The segway didn’t take hardly any damage. There was some light scratches on the brake handle and the grip got torn a bit and the useless x decorative piece got scratched but i plan to remove it anyways as it’s useless and ugly. I have operated on segway products for years from the segway pt when i was a tour guide in Boston to their other products and it is a good brand, that said they need a better quality control department for their products. There’s no reason the handle bar stem should have been off by this much out of the box, i feel it definitely contributed to my fall as the road was not lit as it should have been because the entire staff is offset to the right.

Had to cut my sock off because the tape was adhered to it and I couldn’t remove it. Waste of money to order in the summer months. It did not have the same stability as the ones purchased in store.
