I gave 5 because it does what it says, doesnt dry or damage your hair and you can use it right after a Brazilian blowout. But, is does bleed, so highly, highly recommend if you DO NOT want your entire head this color, or if you have light colored hair. USE FOIL! The color is pretty, and a little goes a long way. Unless you have thick, coarse hair, which i do, so my hair just drinks it up and requires thick and heavy layers. I used honey brown and made streaks with this burgundy. I was a gray/brondish with brassy tones and some yellowing from heavy metals in water.. I love the colors, it covered my 50% gray with ease.. Just bled into my scalp and areas where I wanted more brown. Foil! Foil! Foil! I also recommend a hair cap after applying and letting it stay on at least an hour before washing. Using a sulfate free shampoo should allow it to last longer. Did not dry out or damage my hair. I dont use conditioner everyone you shouldn't need it after applying. Dry your hair on a low heat or cool setting to prevent breakage. I also did not use any heat for processing, simple shower cap to protect dye from bleeding onto my furniture. ... show more

I have silver hair, and my usual hair dye wasn't providing sufficient coverage; I've always dyed it pink, but my siilver hair was making it appear purplish pink. My hair stylist recommended trying a burgundy color. My usual brand doesn't offer burgundy, so I searched for a good burgundy dye and found this one. Upon arrival, the color was lovely. It's thinner than I'm accustomed to, so I did get some dye on my sink and counter, so I suggest covering your sink with an old towel you don't mind staining. For processing, I used a plastic bag on my head and left it on for 45 minutes because gray and silver hair is difficult to cover due to the smoother hair shaft, which makes dye penetration more challenging. This didn't stop me from giving it 5 stars because I was incredibly pleased with the color! It completely covered all my silver hair! I'm absolutely delighted with this burgundy color! It hasn't faded yet, and I've washed it several already! This is the only hair dye brand I will ever use! I cannot express how happy I am with the color! I highly recommend this dye, especially if you have gray or silver hair. ... show more

I love this brand in general for vibrant colors that last a long time. With that being said, the burgundy bliss looks more like a raspberry pink color.

i’ve tried about 5 or more of the shades in this line (pink petal, orange sunrise, platinum, burgundy bliss, electric lime navy blue and some others i can’t recall atm) and i’m so so impressed! i get so many compliments and ppl asking what i use for my color. extremely conditioning, doesn’t smell bad and beautiful shining coverage, i’ve put each color on top of the last without bleaching and it’s worked every time. i would recommend that if you want long lasting color, leave it in for a lot longer than recommend, i personally do about 5-6 hours before rinsing. these colors do stain pretty heavily, any wet hair or sweat will probably stain for at least 5 washes but it doesn’t bother me. also, bar keepers friend soft formula always gets any stains from dye out of my tub ... show more

I have been using this brand of hair dye for a few years now and I just want to say that they have an awesome selection of colors. I also love the fact that it's more of a jel consistency makes it easier to spread through your hair. Another thing I noticed is that it left my hair super soft and hydrated once rinsed and washed. The product also smells great which is a huge bonus as the other brands I have used usually have a very chemically smell to them. Would definitely recommend trying the brand and all the colors this is probably my 3rd or 4th different color I've tried and loved. Great for if you like the bright vibrant colors. ... show more

The color is very vivid and bright however I ordered Burgundy Bliss which looked a lot darker in the "sample" pic than it really it. It came out more red than anything else. I was a little disappointed because that's not what my friend asked for, but she was okay with it. Super impressed. The bottle covers more hair than I am used to so I didn't even need the 2nd bottle I ordered. And the burgundy still looked fresh a week later even though I wash my hair daily.
