Although my hair felt a little dry after rinsing, I added cowash to moisturize, and rinsed again. Upon unwrapping my hair, I was very pleased with the silver gray color deposited on my hair. It seems true to the suggested color and distributed evenly on my long curly hair. I used most of one bottle, but my hair was gray and long. I am confident the remaining product in the bottle will be enough to refresh my color when needed. I use Adore SP Haircolor #155 Titanium. The first time I used it, the results were not so impressive. As a former hair stylist, with tenaciously resistant silver (salt and pepper) hair it was still leaving the silver portions untouched. I decided to apply it to my DRY hair, for 45 minutes, covering it with a plastic cap and warm towel and the results were impressive. It still looked natural - more like my hair looked 5 years ago. I'm not sure how long the color will stay in... it really depends on how often you shampoo. Love it. Doesn't take your breath away. It's a keeper! ... show more

It did absolutely nothing. I made sure to get my hair as white as possible first. Next I got my hair damp, then put this on and sat in a heat chair for 30 minutes. Washed my hair and and realized, nothing changed. I repeated this again and again, nothing. I bought another type of grey before from them that had worked, but the platinum does nothing. ... show more

I have salt and pepper hair and really wish would just turn white already so decided would bleach some hair in the front to brighten everything up. After doing that and toning it was still this light yellowish color so I had seen this product being used by hairstylist online to brighten grey hair so I ordered two bottles. First bottle I admit didn’t read directions so didn’t apply the heat needed so it took out the yellow but wasn’t the exact color I was looking for to match my gray hairs. So after it washed out I put on second bottle and applied heat and left on about 20 minutes and it was perfect beautiful greyish white and matched the rest of my hair perfectly and unlike permanent color it didn’t affect my darker hairs just brightened the grey hair. Will be buying again to keep grey hair shining ... show more

YOU NEED A PLASTIC CAP to process this, and there is NO plastic cap given with this :-( so I used one of my reusable food container plastic covers for a cap and since I had no real heat source for the processing, I applied this in the shower after washing my hair-n-towel drying it, covered my hair with the plastic, and hoped that the hot water-heat from finishing my shower would be enough. I have attached 3 photos: #1 - is before I applied colorant, #2 - is after applying and hair is still slightly damp, #3 - day after I applied colorant. This gave my white hair a slight purple tinge and didn't really do anything for the grey hair. i did not use conditioner on my hair prior to using it, and my hair was hard to comb during the application as well as after rinsing my hair, it now feels coarse. I only used approx. 1/3 of one bottle for this application, glad I did not use more or a different heat source because I fear that the purple tinge would have been more noticeable. The morning after I did my hair there is a slight "shine" to my hair. I have returned the product. After looking at other brands of "silver" and/or "platinum" hair colorings[ both semi- and permanent hair coloring, the vast majority of customers who tried to lighten their grey hair with any of the products had the "purpling-affect" in varying degrees supposedly because since white to grey hair has no to little color pigmentation it is very resistant to being colored and thus the "purpling-affect" from the purple dye in the silver-platinum colorants. Some just bleached their hair but found that it could be damaging. ... show more

I used the Platinum color in the middle of a journey to going gray. I bleached my hair twice and got it to medium blonde, but very orange/brassy. I wanted a temporary dye to make my silver/gray real hair blend better as it grows out. This stuff took my hair from clown orange to dark ash blonde with no hassle. It has no corrosive chemicals to irritate skin, and no bad smell. I found the gel consistency very easy to use. Despite others complaining about staining and bleeding, I'm not seeing any of that, and especially when I compare it to permanent hair color, this stuff is very tame. If you do splatter it anywhere, just wipe it off. Same with your skin, it comes right off if you don't let it sit. Application: I didn't follow instructions. I did it on 2-day unwashed, dry hair. Didn't use heat or a plastic cover. Left it on for 25 minutes instead of 15. I also didn't bother with combing it through, or using gloves, just globbed a full bottle all over my hair. The end result is definitely not a shiny silver, but I wasn't expecting it to be. My hair may be 1/2 a shade darker than it was, but it's worth it to get rid of the orange.
