I bought this bed rail for my elderly Mom after spending a few weeks in a PT Rehab facility. Of course coming from a hospital bed she had the benefit of a bedrail and a motion positioning bed. Going into a tradition flat bed at home this bedrail really helped her pull herself into an upright position. We had to lower her bed by setting the box springs & mattress on the floor. Originally this bedrail wasn't going to work at the lower height, but the bedrail legs came in a two part connection so using only one section brought it down to the right height to be used on a low platform bed. We purchased a second one for her husband. He appreciates the extra help this bedrail gives in raising up into a sitting position. It was easy to assemble and had the versatility of verible height options. The design of this bedrail with both the under mattress bars and floor legs makes this bedrail very sturdy and provides extra safety entering and exiting bed for them.
