We needed seating in our new house for meals during work weekends before we moved in...and these adjustable contemporary stools were inexpensive enough - and promised to be sturdy enough in the description - that I thought they'd do in the short term, at least. They look plenty good enough, despite the "pleather" seats. The were also easy to assemble but I doubt they can be unassembled once the gas cylinder that allows the height to be adjustable has been activated/unsealed. So, if they do take returns, and you don't like they way they look right out of the box, don't assemble them because you won't be able to get them back in the orignal packaging. DOWNSIDE: They are not super comfortable but, again, they are comfortable enough if you just want to sit at the counter (or bar) for a sandwich or quick visit with the cook. They are definitely not for lounging around in over a leisurely or lengthy meal.

After a very long thorough search, based on reviews of course, i pushed the button and ordered two sets of these. Went with the blue and love them! So easy to put together and very sturdy. Wanted a metal base as the wooden bases we had in past tend to crack or break. Love the swivel and ease of cleaning up anything on the chair-not fabric so simple! Got two sets so i have one back up stool in case something happens to one of them.

I almost spent 5 times the amount of these on other bar stools and I'm am so glad I ordered these first. We won't be in this house for long and I like that the height is easy to adjustable and will work with lower counters.

These are so small, cheap, flimsy. Not to mention hard as rocks. It’s not comfortable. I don’t doubt this would break immediately with daily use. I’m trying to return the item but once it’s attached to the gas canister it doesn’t come apart and Amazon wants *me* to pay for a bigger box to return it. I’ve never had an Issue removing the gas canisters on chairs before. Save your money and get something nicer. You get what you pay for if you order these.
