Wow we LOVE this fan. We just moved into a new construction build and needed quite a few fans to install in our house. I was really looking for a good deal, but high quality, and that seems hard to find these days. But THIS is this fan!!! It looks expensive and I saw similar fans at Lowe’s for $250+ so this was quite a steal. My husband installed 5 of them in our house and we’re in love! Great air flow and the dimmable light is nice too.

The fan looks better and does a better job of moving air than the old monstrosity. It was also easy to install. User installation and operation instructions were unexpectedly good. If you are used to electrical wiring and diy the installation will probably go fast. If you don't have experience it will probably take double or triple the time. Don't be in a hurry. Take time to understand the instructions. The light is dimmable and has three color temperature settings. Mine stays set to the warmest color. I tried a fan with a light that was not dimmable and it was miserably bright. I had to return it. The fan is wired to use the previously existing three-way light switches. Note that many older fans used two hot wires to accommodate both fan power and light power. Choose the correct hot wire to get the desired switch operation. I learned the hard way. The fan remembers its settings if turned off by a wall switch. The fan operates with the old settings when turned on by the wall switch. I just bought the fan again for installation in another room.

I installed with the shortest tube on a standard ceiling height. It was not easy - takes time to feed the wires through the tube and get all the covers on before attaching the fan itself. But worth it. Suggest if using short tube: 1) you first assemble everything EXCEPT the light/light cover to prevent damage [not ceiling bracket of course] 2) install the ceiling mount bracket, leaving only the house wiring to connect to the control box 3) lift the unit onto the mount 4) slide in the control box 5) connect your house wires 6) slide the control/mount cover up and screw it on 7) then the magnetic cover will simply slide up and attach itself 8) can easily now mount the LED panel and it's connector that clips in 9) screw on self threaded light cover Suggest that because having everything in the air and trying to hold covers and such is really difficult for one person to do and it is cramped - by attaching the fan and being able to attach it's cover which slides down and attaches means there is room to slide the upper cover else - two covers on a less than 6" rod.....by yourself. This fan with light is great. I purchased a larger one without light for my other high ceiling room. That one had Alexa and remote. This one has a remote. BEST part is the fan remembers the last setting - like my other does too - for speed, direction and light on/off - so I wired it to a single pole - NO DIMMER - Amazon Alexa wall switch so now I say "Alexa Small Fan On/Off" and it come on with the last remote setting. Would purchase this for other rooms as I continue the remodel - great fan, quiet - can NOT hear it running either need to feel the air flow or look at it to see if it is running. I love the remember setting, use it in an office - I get in my chair, and can say "Alexa Small Fan ON' so I mounted the remote hanger on the wall above the single pole switch - I ALWAYS know where the remote is and have not had to use it for the last two weeks. So all around this is great for my purpose.
