    • Easy and Reliable
I started to detail cars and it has been great since I have a small car, the compact build of it makes it so I can take it in my car wash people's cars. It works great with the foam cannon that it comes with and makes a great difference to using a normal water hose to clean cars.

    • Compact Powerhouse...until it wasn't
I wanted to upgrade my pressure washer built in system at home (part of the car garage makeover). The first until I received lasted about a week before being unable to hold it's pressure. The seller was gracious enough to send a replacement to which I was incredibly thankful for. That was back in January of 2023. Fast forward to July 1st, 2023...and the unit is dead. It won't power on, or anything after 2 minutes of use. I detected a faint burnt smell around the unit, so I can only guess that the motor committed suicide. I reached out to the seller, hopefully they'll be able to work with me. I'll update my review if so. Just for context, my Ryobi 1600psi electric pressure washer lasted 5 years and I used that at least 3-4 times a week.     • Best Pressure Washer Period!
I did extensive research for a pressure washer for mainly my vehicles and odd job around the house. This Active VE52 kept coming up. I'd never heard of it but have heard of Caterpillar and they make the pressure washer for them. So I figure I'd buy from the source and not spend the extra for the name Caterpillar. With an 1800 psi rating it puts out 2GPM! There are some that are rated 2500-3000psi not putting out 2GPM. This machine here is a BEAST! It is well designed and hold everything neatly and doesn't take up a lot of room to store! Best pressure washer I've had and worth every cent! ... show more

I like the washer unit but the foam cannon it came with leaked the first time I used it. The bottle had a crack in it and it drenched me. I bought a different bottle which if fine. But now I have a different application for that bottle and I trashed the original. Now what? Buy another foam cannon?

    • Update: Original Unit Failed and Replaced Under Warranty
UPDATE The unit I have now has no issues. I am really happy with the performance of it. It provides a good amount of pressure and runs much quieter than my previous pressure washer. ———————————————————— I purchased this pressure washer for a permanent installation in my garage. Everything was going fine until the machine started to surge. I checked the inlet and outlet fittings to ensure that the water flow wasn't restricted. The problem reoccurred intermittently over two more uses until something failed and water came pouring out of the pressure washer body. I have been trying to reach customer service for warranty support. I will update this review based upon that experience. [UPDATE] I finally reached customer support via email. Several voice messages were left on the support number in the documentation. I never actually spoke to a person. After going through several steps to document the issue Active agreed to send a replacement pressure washer. Today I unboxed and set up the replacement unit. It failed in exactly the same way as the original. When I powered it on the motor made a high-pitched whine and something inside the unit burst creating a significant leak from the body of the unit. ... show more

UPDATE: I have had 2 of these start leaking for me, not drips, not gushing out, but enough during a carwash to leave a 12x12 puddle under the unit. Its an internal leak, guessing the pump itself, as it comes out of the bottom of the case near the water inlet and outlet end of the unit. It also got noisier, not as hushed, when the leaking started both times. I always winterize it even when not below freezing, so not sure whats going on. That said, ACTIVE stands behind their product with prompt replacements, since I was still in warranty. However the 2 years is up soon, so these are essentially 2 year life units, no acceptable. Buyer beware if you expect more life/use like I did. Ryobi or Greenworks next time. ___________________________________ This is an excellent electric pressure washer, better than my old B&S gas one for sure. Pros: - Looks great, very cool look - very compact, great packaging, and light weight - very affordable price - All the accessories stow on board, one of my favorite things about this washer - all rubber braided high pressure hose is very nice, not cheap vinyl or plastic. - The superb performance. Easily propelled house wash and rinse up my 2 story house, and creates nice foam from the included cannon, and even better shaving cream foam from other mid grade foam cannons available on amazon. - decision to focus on high flow with the 5 cylinder pump, rather than just high pressure with low flow like most electrics. - The highest in segment flow rate is the key! - Excellent customer service, answered all my questions quickly before and after the sale. - long 2 year warranty on all parts, they stand behind their product. Cons: - no storage or clip in holder for the large gfi power cord end - lack of manueverability with no wheels - rubber feet on bottom are not nearly big or thick enough, the bottom plastic of my unit is already scratched from one careful use on my driveway. - only 3 tips and 3 storage slots for tips on board. But can easily purchase additional tips and think i have a solution for the on board storage. - metal lance already has several scratches on it from simply snapping into its storage clips on the unit. - hose could be a bit longer since the unit has no wheels, but its light and easy to pick up and move. - would have loved a brushless motor These are very picky cons, so by no means show stoppers. I did a lot or research and glad I found this Active V52 washer. Time will tell how well its built and how durable it is. That's a big one for me. ... show more
