Great surf rod. Super long, probably a little more than I need, but the extra length will help get bait further out. If anything, I feel like the butt section is too long. Not a huge deal, but I really think it could be taken down like an entire foot and it would be perfect. I may cut it down myself. I bought two of these rods for a trip to Texas. Both showed up broken. The gel coat was split on both tips and one had a major chunk taken out of the handle. I ended up taking rods I already had and returned these. I have other ugly stick rods and they are fine, but I would not buy one of these sight unseen again from Amazon ... show more
