  • Easy to assemble
Color: Black
This is a comfortable and nice looking office chair. I work from home 3 days a week. My last office chair was over 15 years old and needed replacing. I got this chair to replace it. It is important my desk chair looks good as I am on Zoom calls and a portion of the chair shows during calls. I also sit for long periods of time so comfort is a must. This chair is perfect for both. The chair is also easy to adjust. You can easily raise or lower the height of the chair by pulling up on the lever. This chair also tilts back. You can lock this feature so it won’t tip if you prefer. My last chair didn’t tilt back very far and I didn’t think this feature was important to me. I decided to use it for a whole day with this unlocked. I found it to be a great fidget for my body when I started getting restless. Now I leave the tilt unlocked. My favorite part about the entire chair is the wonderful lumbar support. I have a bad back and this gives a lot of lumbar support. The only thing that took some getting used to was the edge of the seat, where the back of my legs rested. It tilts down and I was used to that part sitting up higher. All I had to do was lower the chair and then it was perfect. Everything about this chair is comfortable, even the head and arm rests. I don’t have to worry about getting too hot with my office location being in a basement, but having the open mesh design would be great if that is an issue for you. I highly recommend this office chair. ... show more

  • comfortable and customizable

I am 6'1" 230 lbs and often find it difficult to find office chairs that will fit and support my frame. This chair is very well constructed. The wheel base is actually metal and not plastic, which gives is a solid foundation and makes the chair feel substantial. I find more metal than plastic which is a pleasant surprise. The mesh also feels quite sturdy; I just hope it doesn't end up stretching and sagging like my previous mesh chairs. Assembly was pretty straightforward except the headrest - it took quite a bit of blind alignment to get the screws to finally hit the holes. And I couldn't get one of the screws all the way in, like the hole wasn't threaded all the way through. They included extra screws and washers just in case, as well as the hex wrench. I'd say it took me 30 minutes total, even with the extra time for the headrest. I could not final an instruction manual on how to make all the adjustments and it took quite a while to figure out how everything works. Armrests - each rotates inward/outward, moves forward/backward and while pulling up on the tab on the arm bracket will move up/down Recline - turn the knob in front middle to increase/decrease tension of the recline. it manages to easily support my weight and frame. You can lock the recline position in 3 angles by pulling up the rearward lever (labeled with an icon) on the right side (as you're seated). Just lean back to the desired setting and pull the lever and slightly angle back up until it clicks and locks into position. Height - pull the forward most lever (also labeled with an icon) while lifting your weight and release once it's high enough. Or sit back down while pulling the lever to push it down until it's low enough. Backrest and headrest - this is what stumped me for a long time. I can tell they were adjustable, but everytime I pulled up (back/head) or forward (head), they'd slide right back to the lowest/rearmost setting. These use a ratcheting system that will lock in place if you click it to the desired setting. But by moving them to the maximum distance, it releases the locking mechanism so you can reset them to the lowest/rearmost position. So, slowly adjust to the desired setting and then stop. It will only lock while moving in the one direction. To try again, in case you overshot, just pull it to the further setting and start over. Other than that, this is a very solid chair for the price. It has many of the features you'd find on chairs 2 to 3 times the cost. The only potential issue is that the lumbar support may be too aggressive for some. It's good for me, but I cannot find a way to adjust its tension. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble and has lots of options
Color: Grey
This thing arrives in a large box. Did I mention the box is pretty big? Inside everything is individually wrapped with protecting films and has layers of corrugated cardboard between main parts for protection. Take everything out and line it up and you find a three part bag with different bolts/washers and a hex tool. Assembly was intuitive. I never even looked at the instructions. Once the parts were laid out it could only go together one way. Now, there are some learning curves. When you are bolting things together don't go too tight at first. Just get them snug so it holds itself together. This is important because you think you have the parts lined up evenly and when you put the chair right side up you find this side is over there too much. Easy fix. Loosen just a bit and adjust the slide areas where the bolts are. Then snug them back up. When you get it adjusted right so everything is even then go through and tighten everything up good. You want to do these adjustments soon because there is locktite on the bolts so once that sets it would be more difficult to loosen and tighten the bolts. The chair has a lever for height adjustment and a separate lever for allowing the chair to rock. One thing I liked about this second button was it didn't just lock you in the default straight up position. Rather, it allowed you to set whatever angle you preferred as the lock. Underneath is a spring knob which allows you to adjust how resistant the chair is to rocking. The wheel base platform is wide enough to hold me in as reclined as the chair would go. I'm not sure I was comfortable at that angle as it looks like the wheel base isn't wide enough. But it held. The lumbar portion of the chair and the headrest are of the chair use a cycling ratchet system for adjustment. If you like it in the top position, too bad that is the position that unlocks the ratchet and it all drops back to the base position. I think I would prefer a locking switch such as exists on the arm adjustments. You depress the switch and adjust the arms where you like them and release the switch and that is where they stay. I can't take a star for the ratchet system as I thought it was pretty cool those areas had adjustment ability. But I would prefer a system that actually had a lock select. I haven't used this style of chair before so it will take a while to get used to. But it is a comfortable chair. ... show more
