  • Works great.
So simple to use. No electrical connections to fail. No hydronic lines or motors and it doesn't pick up all my gravel in my office parking lot. Just plowed 8" of snow without any ussues. Great buy.

  • Great little personal plow
Great little personal snow plow as long as you understand its limitations. One of the big pluses (and minuses) of the plow is that you can't backblade, but that allows you to reposition your vehicle for the next pass without the need to change anything. So without backblade capability, you have to look at the area you want to plow and determine where you are going to be able to push the snow, and realize there will probably be a small area you can't plow (like where you start the truck from in front of your garage). For me this works out well enough, and the price and weight savings of not having to have a 'real' plow setup really makes it worth its cost. I have a gravel driveway and if I used a regular plow, most of my gravel would be in the ditch by the end of the season. It still pushes the loosest stuff of the top when plowing, but even my two stage snowblower tended to pickup and throw the loosest stuff. The other big limitations is this is a personal plow, I doubt it would last if you pushed it by trying to do too much with it. I took it out on to a partiallly plowed street, to clear the area in front of my mailbox, and it was a little chattery on the partially cleared pavement. Since my gravel driveway isn't perfectly level, it will leave some snow in the low spots, but for me, that is better than pushing all the gravel in the ditch. Also there is a strap you can buy (or make one) to help hold down the plow if you need to 'scrape' harder, but I think it won't be super effective at removing ice on a cement or asphalt surface. I have seen videos of people using these on the rear trailer hitch, and it seems to work well in that direction too, but I think you would get tired of trying to do it all over your shoulder or in your mirrors. Mine is mounted on a half ton crew cab tundra, and it does fine, but the huge length of the truck does limit some of the maneuverability in a narrow driveway. From a maneuverability stand point, it probably would have been better on my Xterra. When i first got the plow it was warmer but with some left over snow in parts of the driveway. So in the process of testing it out, I basically was using it in a muddy area where the snow mas melting. It did make some grooves in the muddy area so I would be careful in the mud as you could tear it up a bit. I assume you could get stuck with the plow on. on a decent snow storm, I was pushing snow into the ditch off my driveway which has a bit of a lip. I went over the lip with my front tires aways to make sure the snow was deep enough in the ditch that if it snowed again in a week i wouldnt be running into an iceburg from this snow when plowing again. Even in 4wd I could feel that tiny bit of extra weight and drag from back dragging the blade seemed to make a difference when trying to back out. I am glad I had some sandbags in the back of the truck to make sure the rear tires had a little more weight on them. If you are in an area that gets tons of ice on the driveway, you may need to get a set of chains too, which seems overkill for a driveway I can plow in less than 10 minutes, but it might be better than trying to get you truck unstuck once or twice per plow session. My only gripes are that when you want to move the plow from stowed, to down I have to usually have give the top of the plow a bit of a push with my knee to get it to move back far enough on the balance point to get it to drop down. That and if you have a bigger truck, the poles at the end need to be longer to be able to see them. I can only see the top inch or two of the pole marker on the drivers side when plowing and not at all when dragging backwards. I duct taped on some longer snow poles onto the existing poles so that hopefully next time I can see both markers when using it. I haven't had one of the really heavy wet snows that we usually get in the spring yet. I assume that if its really getting alot of accumulation of that kind of snow, then plowing multiple times during the snowfall will probably be better than waiting till its all over and very deep. This was true of the snowblower too, but much more miserable to be snowblowing in the dark during a snowstorm. ... show more

  • Great Product
Great product, I purchased a winch for this product later on . I have a 400 foot gravel driveway . Along with 80 foot asphalt driveway. Very happy with product. Great snow plow. The heavy rubber is wonderful for asphalt drive ways.

  • Good plow for pushing fresh snow
Fast shipping- it shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived 2 days later. It came in 4 boxes. You don’t have to sign for it like the email says you do. The product description is also very confusing. It says the hitch/mount is included and a few sentences later it says you have to purchase it separately. Ours came with the hitch/mount. It is easy to put together if you have power tools. It isn’t a good dig and scrape type of plow but pushes fresh powder very well! You can only push forward with this plow - can’t use it to pull snow. If your truck is lifted any, the plow won’t touch the ground. We had to put it on a different truck than planned. ... show more

  • Great product!
Love this thing. Great price. Fast shipping. Easy to assembly with good instructions. One should be mechanically astute and handy with tools for this baby. It's worth it. I love mine.

  • Not worth the money
This plow only works going forward. It has no real downward pressure. They use a cheap strap. This means you can't back drag the snow from your driveway. I think it works well going forward . It just seams like the people who designed the original plow got lazy on improving the original design so that you could back drag the snow. A crappy strap doesn't cut it. The electric motor that raises the plow looks like it was designed on a third world country. I considered buying another one but adding a little more money you can get a much better plow ... show more

  • A toy that works and has unique benefits!
Wasn't sure what to expect. I have a Silverado with only a rear hitch at the moment and was willing to pay for a front mount if necessary and there are used steel plows available in my area but... They would have cost as much and two great things I discovered: my driveway has a lot of lumps in the paved surface and I want to push the snow onto and back aways on my front lawn... This plow with the rubber blade handles both perfectly and can be rear mounted just fine. It floats over bumps effortlessly without harming the paving further and it floats over the grass, leaving my lawn completely undamaged. Putting together isn't for a non-mechanically inclined person though. Strong impact wrench recommended. ... show more

  • Works
Ordered last week and arrived in 5 days, 7' width. Three hours to assemble using hand tools and a power drill with a new bit. Plowed 5" of wet heavy snow today rear mounted on an X-terra SUV. Drive is funnel shaped with a single lane at the top and 75 feet width at the bottom and 125 feet long gravel . Plow worked great and I can recommend this plow if you want to avoid electric equipment and higher weight. I use a rear mount to make use of the higher spring rating in the rear. I plowed with the rear hatch open, the seats folded down, tilted side mirrors down a little to see the plow, and in 4WD low range. Assembly directions were easy to follow if you are mechanically adept. X-terra suspension is OEM (stock). ... show more
