I bought this based on price-- this was a far less expensive option than a traditional mixer with snake to get a Front Of House mix. But it delivered far, far more than a 'low cost mixer.' This product is outstanding, and nothing about it needs to be qualified with "for the money." We had so many people after the last event tell us this was the best our group ever sounded. A big part of this is that we could get compression, noise gating, and parametric EQ on all six vocal channels. That is unheard of in a low-end mixer. It would cost you far more than the cost of the mixer just to replicate the effects. These effects meant we could get a more even vocal mix, better tailored to the vocalists, and with much less bleed-through of the drums. The other thing was the speed of setup compared to a traditional setup. Set the mixer in a centralized location, permitting short cords throughout. None of the wiring to the board and back. We were in sound check in 45 minutes-- an hour sooner than before. If you are thinking about this but a little nervous that the app approach is not what you are used to, don't be. Sure, set aside some time to learn it. It's intuitive, but make no mistake you are controlling a complex bit of equipment with tremendous capabilities, and you will need to find your way around it. But it is so worth it to be able to have the app tell you the vocalist's name, rather than the usual bit of masking tape on the board!

This is a no brainer. Great price with tons of functionality. The preamps are good. The iPad interface works well. Less options with an android. All the bells and whistles with a laptop. Set profiles, Easily set up gate, compression and EQ. Bluetooth work great. Highly portable and well built. Eliminates need for a snake. WE use it in our church and everyone loves it and has stood up to the use and abuse.

If you want to get to the next level with your bands onstage audio system this is the way to do it. This little box is the way is a simple compact solution. Mixing can be done anywhere on stage using built in wireless connections via iPad or phone app or directly to a computer via a Ethernet connection. My only reason for giving it only 4 stars is because of the stability of the onboard WiFi signal that occasionally drops out needing a restart of the behringer app. If one wants a better connection it does require another separate WiFi router to create your own private network connection with better range. Other that the System is an awesome intro to wireless sound mixing though as I get more competent I believe I would look to upgrade to x32 for bigger gigs in the future.

sorry for late reply, wheels great for church. very small. highly recommend for mobile setups as well. love the limiter and compressor and EQ options on each channel. very very handy. also mixer control on your phone or a laptop is very very nice. sounds very quiet and I don't have any problems with it highly recommend for small Church

I bought this mixer two months for our church's Sunday service, 90% of which is spoken, and the other 10% is music. Previously, we were using a borrowed Yamaha analog mixer, and even though we're not sound techs, we figured out the basic operations after some study and experimentation. Having that experience proved very useful for learning how to use the Behringer mixer. We figured out how to rack-mount the mixer with the supplied brackets (instructions were not included). For setup, we have all of our inputs feeding into the mixer, a combination of wireless receivers, wired microphones, and an iPod audio input cable. We use either an iPad Mini or an iPad to control the mixer; they both work well, but of course the iPad is easier to read. The iPad connects to the mixer via the built-in wireless network. I can control the mixer from anywhere in the room, and slightly beyond, at distances ranging from a few feet up to about 60 feet. We also video record the sermon, which we record from the back of the room. For the best audio, we ran a 75' XLR cable from one of the mixer's "Aux send" jacks (we used "AUX 1") to an audio adapter (specifically, I bought an old BeachTek DXA-4 Dual XLR audio adapter on eBay) which then connects to the mic input on the video camera. The adapter is required as it converts the balanced signal to a signal the camera can use. Note that you can download the mixer's app and try it out (the app has multiple demo modes) before buying the mixer. That helped to ease my mind before purchase, that I could learn how to use the mixer. There's still a lot I don't know how to control or use on the mixer, but I know the basics, and for now, that's all I need.

Just make sure you understand that you can not record multitracks on the xr 16 or 12. If you want multi track recording you need to get the xr18. Other than that, it's a fantastic piece of equipment. The hi z inputs work great with the guitar amp fx (for bass or electric). Can make the guitar sound like just about anything. Mic preamps are high quality. Can mix from computer, tablet, or phone.
