For context, I weight over 200 lbs and I'm lower bottom heavy (translation, wide hips). It's difficult to find a chair or sitting space that's comfortable. I was worried that this chair wouldn't be able to accommodate me, but I'd read another review from someone who mentioned that they were heavy and it was a comfortable chair for them. It's a great chair for sitting to read or watch TV. My cats definitely love this chair too! It's hard to keep them off of it. It's fabric is very easy to clean too, just use a damp cloth and wipe. I love this chair. It is so comfortable and for the price you definitely get an amazing chair with the foot rest attached. The bottom piece may slip off if you don't push it all the way in so be sure to attach it securely but it definitely was worth the buy. This chair is a win and a beautiful addition to my home. I bought this for my elderly mom instead of spending a ton on a nice recliner. I obviously knew for the price what I would be getting. And it’s actually pretty decent! It’s comfortable and fairly easy to put together. Cons: the support bar doesn’t stay in- keeps popping out The ottoman (just like the chair) is like a camping ottoman with a pillow velcroed on top The directions aren’t super great but I figured it out Not extremely sturdy but could be because the support bar doesn’t stay in place Am I keeping it? The chair is pretty comfortable, definitely quick and easy to put together. I might rate it a little lower on style if it were for me, but it is as the photo shows. I actually bought it for my cat because she wouldn't let me sit in my much more expensive desk chair, and she LOVES it. That said, her nails typically show marks in most things, like the other chair, very quickly, and I haven't seen any marks on this chair. It also does pretty well at hiding the hair she sheds because I'm not an every day vacuumer. I sit in in periodically, and it is comfortable. We've had it about a week, so I can't comment much on durability, but the frame seemed pretty solid when I put it together. ... show more

I wouldn’t use this chair heavily. It’s wonderful for occasional use or as a guest room chair. But it just is not made for heavy use such as in a primary living room. I mean I guess you could…it certainly wouldn’t fail as a chair or collapse. But it will wear quickly as the fabric is going to show use patterns rather soon with high usage.
