This thing is AMAZING!! My kid's room would get up to 85* in summer because our hvac system is terrible and the room gets a lot of direct sunlight. Last summer we used a portable AC unit but it was noisy. I didn't think this would work because some of the reviews weren't great but I'm so glad I tried it. It's amazing!!! The room went from Sahara desert hot to "almost chilly" !! I just ordered another one for a different room. I've also sent the link to a few neighbors! We have an upstairs sound booth at our Church. It’s more attic than room, and very hot in the summer. With only one AC vent, this helps carry more cool air. Now, PLEASE KNOW this isn’t a perfect solution. It doesn’t make a drastic difference but it makes the space bearable! Imagine the attic heat! Even a degree or two cooler is helpful! It works as described and automatically comes on/off with the cool air of the AC. Haven’t been through the winter yet to see how it does with heat but I’m sure it will be helpful. It isn’t too loud! Like a low fan noise.

This booster vent works reasonably well. It was easy to install and connect. The dangling power cord is a little unsightly and clunky, but works and is as expected without routing inside the wall. Setting the temperature limits, etc. is fairly simple, and can take a few tweaks to dial in the parameters to the area. The fans do push a moderate amount of air, but more would be better. I have a hot spot in the farthest vent from my HVAC unit, unfortunately right where I sit the most. This booster was purchased to help cool that area. It helps, but is not a complete solution. I purchased it only for boosting the cooling, but the built in thermometer is useful to monitor all the time. The vent worked without incident for 2.5 years until a lightning strike took it out, along with many other items in my house. I will purchase another one. Recommended for a moderate boost.

We can now use our basement in the Winter without using expensive and dangerous space heaters! Excellent quality. Easy to install and program. I bought one 4x10 and two 6x10 vents for three rooms in my basement. I'm using two vents in the ceiling and one on a wall. Quiet fan on settings 1 thru 9. 10 was too noisy. All my power vent fans are set on 9. I set the fans to come on at 80 degrees. I turned off the AC setting since my basement stays cool enough in the summer. I am very happy with these vents!

Though installation was easy, this product is nothing but junk. Two little plastic fans (the type found on the inside of a computer) is supposed to 'boost' airflow? Give me a break. And, aesthetically, this thing is ugly. Having a power chord dangle from the register does nothing to enhance the look of the room. The product did not come anywhere near to performing as the literature said it would. Save your money. Get an HVAC professional instead.

We had issues with our upstairs not being as cool as the downstairs so we thought we would try one of these. It worked so great in our loft that we bought two more for the bedrooms. It made a huge difference, the upstairs is now much more comfortable. Not noisy at all unless you crank the fan up all the way which I found unnecessary. You set the temperature so it turns on with the A/C and not running all the time. I found 54 deg F to be the perfect setting just FYI. Great product, It actually works.
